Do I need to have tickets purchased in order to make dining reservations?

Planning a trip for the end of September, already booked the resort (non Disney) but not quite ready to drop the cash for the tickets yet. Will I still be able to make dining reservations without having purchased the tickets yet?

At 180 days anyone can book ADRs. If you have a Disney Resort reservation you can book up to ten days of your booking at 180 days instead of booking day-by-day and if your resort stay is more than the 10 days, you can add the extra days one at a time until your check-out day is booked.

Edit to add: Tickets aren’t required for booking ADRs.

Thanks for the help everyone, this is quite the project planning this out, but I’m having fun with it. Last time I went it was the early nineties as I was 8. Probably a good thing all the crazy ins and outs they have now weren’t around back then, I can’t picture my Dad having the patience for it LOL

Get a spreadsheet with countdown timers in it for ADRs and FP+ reservations.
