Do I need Express Pass?

We (family of four) are going to the Orlando area for a Wedding in May. We are going to tack on 2 days at Universal after the wedding. We haven't been to Uni in about 3 years, so we are looking to check out all that is new and a few old favorites. I am debating between staying at Royal Pacific and Cabana Bay. The main reason I am considering RPH is because of the Express Pass. My question is whether or not I will need it. Right now it looks like we will be visiting the parks on 5/4/15 and 5/5/15 (Monday and Tuesday). How do you think the crowds will be? Would I be wasting my money on RPH?

Any thoughts and opinions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Mike

You could probably do everything in 2 days, especially with the early park admission benefit at Cabana Bay, but I Iove having those express passes. When you are waiting in line for Spiderman, Despicable Me, and others, you may wish you had stayed at RPH.

Stay at RP- you may not need the EP, but it sure is nice to not have to pay for them and have them anyway. As someone who has stayed at CBBR, stay away- by May it will be a real mess:(

Thanks to all who replied. It seems that the concensus is to go with RPH and that is what I will do. As DisneyDaver pointed out, I think I would regret not doing it when I was standing in lines, even if the waits were relatively short. It will probably give us the ability to re-ride some old favorites as well.

Thanks again,

Mike
