Do I have my math correct in regards to cancelling a trip and preventing a holding account?

Ok, I am wanting to make sure I have this correct, I hope I don't come off as stupid, but here goes.

If I were to cancel a reservation that started on 10/18/18, I would need to cancel by 09/17/18 to prevent the points from going into a holding account, right?

And one that started on 11/01/18, cancel by 10/01/18, and for one that started on 12/16/18, it must be cancel by 11/15/18 to prevent the holding account situation.

I am just making sure I have this correct. Thank you.

Count 31 days - that is your last day you can modify/cancel without risking points going into holding. From my counting your dates listed are what I got as well.
