Do Disney imagineers work all year round

I know it's a funny question but I was always thinking of being a Disney imagineer but would hate to leave my family. I was wondering if anyone knows of any positons where they work only for development projects. If I could remain at home but make long business trips to the parks that would be a dream come true, but sounds to good to be true.

As far as I know all the Imagineering positions are all either full time or college internship type positions. I don't believe there are any project based ones. Not 100% sure on that but that's all I've ever seen. You could call casting to double check though. It can't hurt! Good Luck, hopefully you'll find something!!

There are some project based positions, but not many.

These are generally positions in which WDI wouldn't normally have a need for a certain skillset.
