Do characters ever autograph the wrong name?

I am sure that character would only do that one time... the next day a certain line at the local Dept of Labor would be a little longer.

I don't remember where I heard this but it was in an interview where someone used to be a fur character and they said they would start writing the wrong name, realize they were writing the wrong name, drop the book so then when the guest picked it back up they would usually flip to a clean page and the CM would be able to write the correct name!
