Do all WDW Resorts now scan your KTTW cards/MagicBands with a RFID scanner when you return?

This past December when I was driving back one night to the Boardwalk the Cast Member working at the guard shack took out an RFID scanner, scanned my KTTW card and said my name along with a welcome home. If you still don't know what I'm referring to I believe this is the same device that the restaurant servers use when you want to charge something to your room. So I'm wondering is this something all the other WDW Resorts are now using?

Maybe? I do know that if you are visiting a resort and wearing a magicband that the guard will ask if he can scan it. This has happened to me enough times that I've stopped wearing the band while driving. I'm pretty sure that I could tell him "no", but it's just easier to not wear it.

They were doing it in October last year when we stayed at the BC, it was used more on weekends when the resort was busy, just to ensure that guests who were staying there were able to park ok. Sometimes they just saw our bands and we had the parking pass in the front window and just waived us through.
Also used at CR and Poly, when we entered for breakfast one morning at CR the guard said welcome Mr ..... enjoy your breakfast, he knew we had reservations!

I mainly remember it always happened at WL. I think most of the time at BC/YC too. Did not happen over at the Campgrounds or GF or PORS. Those were the resorts I visited for dining while staying at WL

Is this how they handle things at the pool then to know who should or shouldn't be there?

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that, as long as the pools aren't super crowded and no one is causing trouble, the lifeguards will probably not be questioning whether or not any given MB registers as being with that particular resort. But that's just my best guess ;)

Lifeguards do not monitor magic bands nor do they check anyone. At BC cast members were stationed at all entrances to the pool and scanning everyone. If the word is out that they check mb it will deter guests from making the effort to pool hop. I like it.
