DLR Spending

Okay, so TDA (which is all from TWDC. Right?) is spending tons of money for DLR's 60th make over, new castle overlay, new costumes, new nametags (CM), lightpole diamond (60th) overlay, ect. And then TWDC/TDO can't "afford" to fix up WDW's two most desperate parks, HS and Epcot?

I'm pretty sure that "TDO" isn't spending anything on DLR -- maybe TDA is, though.

That said, a lot of the stuff doing on at DLR is more in line with enhancements going on at WDW like the Hub project, DTD work and the removal of the BAH. Money is being spent at WDW, just not necessarily on things many people want (or on as many things as people want). It's not like DLR has any new rides slated to open any time soon -- wasn't their last new rides opened with Cars Land in 2012?

Sorry about the A/O my mistake, and yes your probably right. I just think DLR gets more attention then WDW does. I've never seen a problem with DTD that would necessitate what's going on right now. And the hub will look awesome when finsihed

Disneyland is getting new stuff because of its upcoming milestone birthday. The park has been known to get special things every ten years, so this is nothing. Pretty sure these new offerings the parks at the DLR are getting would be a no-go if there were no milestone birthday.

I know! These threads are getting a bit daunting. For one DLR is ALOT smaller resort to run and spend money fixing etc. WDW is huge and a lot more parks and areas to keep up than at DLR. I don't think that is realized when comparing DLR to WDW maintenance etc. They are working on lots of areas in WDW so it just takes time like you said.
Okay my rant is done! lol. :)
