Just went to DTD to shop, and the signs are posted, traffic in the area is a mess. So if you are in the area, stay away.

Does Disneyland really need a third gate?

Right now, they need parking, both for guests and CM's the most. Once 4 new structures are built (The new one next to M&F, next to PPH, the Pumbaa one, and a CM structure on Ball and Harbor), then you can think about a third park. But with the current 2 reaching or near capacity on a regular basis, Disney could use an additional gate after Galaxy Edge and the current Transportation Hub expansions open.

So I would say 20 years from now, if not later. And of course, another Parking Structure will be needed for that.

Darkbeer, speaking of parking. i was just asked by some folks at work about DTD. They have reservations for Napa Rose for a Christmas dinner celebration and had no idea where to park.
They had considered parking at the DTD parking lot and then get their tickets validated but i just saw that they only validate at DTD eateries and not Napa Rose.
so does that mean they must park and pay a per hour fee just to go eat at the NAPA Rose?

Napa Rose guests get 5 hours of validated parking. You must park at the GCH, so pull into the driveway, where they will give their name, and then directed where to go. As I understand it, they just valet the vehicle. So free parking, but a tip is expected, but not required.
