This is related to a similar question I asked on the WDW General Discussion forum about the Magic Kingdom fireworks shows. More accurately, about the fallout zones for the firework shells. At WDW's Magic Kingdom, the fallout zone covers an area about 700-800 feet from the launch pad:
The fallout zone is marked in red, while the launch pad is circled in blue.
However, if I cover a similar area at Disneyland Paris, here is what I end up with:
The launch pad (assuming that it is, since the rectangular object LOOKS like a launch pad) is circled, while the fallout zone area (if it covered a similar are to the MK's) is marked in red. If this were the same, the fallout area would cover nearly all of Fantasyland and most of Adventureland.
Does Disneyland Paris exacuate certain areas of the park during the fireworks show for fallout reasons? I do know that Disneyland (in California) exacuates Toontown during the fireworks, since it's in the fallout zone.
However, it was mentioned in the previous thread that WDW's Magic Kingdom uses firework shells up to 10 inches in diameter, which (at least in the U.S.) have a required fallout area reserved of 700-800 feet. Disneyland (Anaheim) only uses 8 inch shells at the largest, which would yield a fallout area about 150 feet smaller. Not sure about the foreign parks (since as DLP), or if sure regulations exist overseas.
