DL vs. WDW length of stay

I'm not really familliar with DL but with talk of a possible DVC resort there someday and new hotel in the pass few years how long do people stay at DL? I know when I go to WDW I go for at least a week. Their is just so much to do and see. I don't see that with DL.

Any thoughts.

I stay anywhere from 5 to 7 days but you can pretty much see all of DL and DCA in 1 to 2 days. When I stay at WDW I stay no shorter then 10 days and as long as 3 weeks.:sohappy: If you have kids make sure you take them to Goofy's Kitchen at the DL Hotel,it's the best character meal at both DL and WDW

It all depends on what you want to do and see. As previous poster mentioned, the Disney parks can be done in a few days. I'd recommend 3 days with kids and so as not to be rushed. But there are other things to do in the area as well. Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Hollywood, Legoland, Aquarium of the Pacific, Sea World, San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. All these and more are in driving distance and most of the attractions in LA and Orange Counties are easily gotten to by Metrolink train. If you're just in to Disney, it's a bit harder to fill out a week just in the resort area.

I think it depends on the crowds as well. I went during August 18-25th of this year and while we only planeed on doing Disney only a few days and then other attractions we spent the majority of our time at Disneyland. The crowds at DL itself were out of control especially after DCA would close. We took our time and did not rush through anything so we definitely plan on returning.

THe DL DTD Version is definitely not an all day or all evening venue like it is in Orlando.
