Okay, I'll try not to bore you all, so I shall leave out all my wandering details. Got to parks about 1, and headed straight for ToT. There was a "13 min" wait, but FastPasses were already gone tili 3:15, so I went ahead and got one before getting on the ride. I very nearly walked right on - I was surprised it was so deserted, but I guess it is still a weekday really.
I got off ToT and headed into the Animation Building... and was surprised to find characters in the main room! Snow White, Peter Pan, and Sorcerer Mickey were all in there mingling with guests. I waited about 30 seconds to see Mickey, it was so deserted in there. Woohoo!
Grabbed a spot on one of the couches and doodled til 2, when I left to jump in line for the 2:30 Aladdin. My prayers were answered: Alexander Selma was Aladdin! Hooray! That made me happy, and it was a GREAT performance.
By the time the show let out, my Tower FP was good, so I did that again, then walked right onto Screamin'... and thought I was seeing double when I saw two green trains at once! Does anyone know how long they have had two green trains? One is #6, and the other is #7.
I wandered some more, then headed over for the 4:45 Aladdin. Alas, it was WheezyAladdin. :'( Alexander was apparently only doing "First 2" today. What ensued was a tangled mess of flubbed lines. (sigh)
After that, I headed over to Pacific Wharf for a much-needed margarita! Then it was back to Screamin' for another ride, in green train #6 which had no music... the other green train eaerlier in the day did, so I'm assuming #7's music is working, in #6 it isn't.
I stopped at Soarin' on my way out, and didn't even bothe with single rider. I was on the ride in 15 minutes anyways, and still was able to request B1.
I finally made the trek over to the Disneyland side, and once again wandered. I picked up an Indy FP, then went over to Big Thunder where the wait was only 10 min. Then over to the Matterhorn, where I got SOAKED. You know that little splashdown at the end that normally doesn't get you wet? Yeah, THAT one. Soaked me like I've never seen it do before. No wonder the seat was covered in water when I got in.
My Indy FP was good then, so I headed over that way. Crowds were so light that they were merging FP and standby way down at the bottom of the ramp that goes up to the temple entrance.
More wanderinig ensued, as did playing with my digital camera until the batteries ran out. I headed over to Tomorrowland to play some DDR, then back over to Big Thunder to try and catch the short lines durinig Fantasmic... but the line was actually LONGER because they had closed the spur side. Ah, well.
I got off just as Fantasmic was starting, so I wandered to the nearest vantage point to watch. You know if you go justs past the Mark Twain dock (towards Fantasyland) there's a little ramp up that leads to a kind of platform? It's hard to describe. LOL I "watched" it from there... and even though you really can't see anything on the stage, I had a blast! First of all, you get a great viewe of everything going on backstage - the floats lining up for their entrances, the mad dashes trying to get from place to place. And since the characters generally haven't started their routines by the time they get to that spot, they would wave at us and ham it up. Everyone in that area had obivously seen the show many times, and was cheering all the performers on. When the finale started, about five of us, all in a row, did the whole routine. Yes, I am officially a dork...
I wandered some more, and walked onto HM. The exit ramp still hasn't been fixed... I should keep a tally on how long it takes them to fix that. Then it was back to the same spot for Fantasmic #2... again surrouonded by Fantasmic groupies (mostly high school students, I think). Me and the girl next to me were hyper... and in my hyper state I declared my love for Aladdin to him as the Mark Twain went by. I am officically a BIG dork now...
After that, it was park close, and then the long drive home...
And can I just add... if you're going to drive just 70 mph on the freeway, please get OUT OF THE LEFT LANE...
...or I WILL tailgate you like there's no tomorrow. :lookaroun
