Well, it was a short day in the parks for me, thanks to my lazy self not wanting to get out of bed and the park closinig relatively early.
I got there about 11:30 and went straight over to City Hall to ask about the end of Believe. The CM I talked to seemed genuinely confused as to what I was talking about. If she was consciously feeding me a line of bull, she deserves an Oscar. Headed over to Adventureland to check on the line for Indy. 45 minutes, so I skipped it... and went over to Aladdin's Oasis to get a photo with Aladdin. Al, Genie, and Jasmine were all out together today, which was cool. The funny thing was, though, the lady who was taking the picture for me asked if I wanted her to take a second one, so I said "Sure, why not!"... only to hear GENIE say, 'Yup!" Oops! Can't fault him, though, I've accidentally opened my mouth on set a couple of times, as well.
Headed over to DCA for - what else? Aladdin! Alexander Selma was Aladdin today, but HNA was the double. Yay! The rest of the cast... blah... it was the Genie that's not funny, the Jafar that rushes through all his lines, and a new Jasmine I'd never seen before that turned out to be really whiny. She had a beautiful singing voice - VERY reminiscent of Adult Nala's voice from The Lion King - but it just didn't fit the character well, and she was not nearly forceful enough to pull off Jasmine. The former spot of the Aladdin merchandise cart has a new occupant - a food cart. It looks like my merch is gone for good...
I headed over towards Paradise Pier after that... and lo and behold, my margarita stand was open! Haaaaallelujah! grabbed a margarita and some lunch, then a FP for Screamin'. Then it was back over to Hollywood Pictures Backlot, where I spent an hour or two doodling in the Animation Building until my Screamin' FP was good. The train music has hit a new low - three trains out, 2 had no music at all, and the one I had, the music cut out halfway though. It really is a disappointment like that.
I stopped at Guest Relations at DCA to try another CM about Believe... and got the same confused response. Hmm. Then it was back over to the Hyperion for the 5:00 show - same cast, and nothing out of the ordinary for the show. I was impressed, though, as the show let out. The guy sitting next to me had actually recognized HNA (playinig the double today) as having been the main Aladdin in the past... and then proceeded to tell his friend that he was the best Aladdin. Woo! More support for the bring back HNA campaign!
DCA was about to close by the time that let out, so I ran over to ToT and jumped in line. I walked right up to the library, but the wait inside was about 20 min. The mirror effect was a bit different than I've seen before. We didn't "fade" out, rather we were there... then we weren't! Did they change it? Or is it just different sometimes?
Back over to the DL side... where I realized that I need someone to keep me OUT of the gift shops. I ended up getting an "Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular" pin and a songbook of theme park music. I need to stop spending money...
...but I don't. I race over to Tomorrowland for my dose of DDR in the arcade. Now, you must understand that this is the most addicting game... once you get the hang of it, you're hooked. It's like crack. Soon I'll start beating up kids and taking their lunch money, then I'll become an armed robber, so I can get DDR money...
Anyways, PoS was about to start, so I rushed to the other side of Main Street and jumped in line for Indy - no line! Yay! Unfortunately, I get stuck next to the field trip kids from Hell. Agh. Oh well.
Pretty uneventful day, all in all. Took a number of pictures of Aladdin at DCA - I had a great mezzanine spot in the front row where I could use the rail as a makeshift tripod.
