I was looking through a box of old photos and came across these. They are from August 1977 -- with my husband-to-be.

This was a view from the monorail when it went across the parking lot towards the DLH. Now, of course, that parking lot is DCA, and the monorail goes through it.

One of the shows in 1977, the All-American College show. America was coming off of the Bicentennial Celebration.

These were all taken with a Canon SLR that had metering problems. Then factor in what color photos do in time (fade and change), and that will explain why some of the photos are darker than others.

I love how certain things have stayed almost exactly the same for so long. It's cool seeing those people 36 years ago on the same Mark Twain that we ride today.

Here comes some more. These are all scans from slides, which I happened to find in a box last night. I had to learn how to scan slides with my scanner. If some are smaller than others, they were the first to be scanned, and I missed the setting so that they'd come out a little larger. Also, my dad took these, so the metering is better (and slide color seems to hold out a little longer than color prints).
