My browser is acting up and I can't see all information on DLR's official website. Can anybody help me with the different guest room types. I'm interested in the wording of "Sleeps up to 5 guests depending on room type". Do all guest rooms not come with the daybed? Thanks for the help.

I don't remember a day bed ever being at Disneyland Hotel.... I do remember that the loveseat would pull-out to make an additional bed. That was the case in rooms with 2 queen size beds. I think they also have a room that has a king size bed with a pull-out bed... I suppose that some rooms do not have the pull-out bed or that they only consider the King size bedroom to be capable of holding 4 people.

It does appear from pictures that it's a sleeper sofa. I did find some floor plans indicating two sizes of standard guest rooms (364 sf and 415 sf). Both floor plans were showing the two queen bed layout. The smaller sf room does not show a sofa and the larger does. Not sure if one is more expensive than the other but could be the larger unit has a different view or something.

Paradise Pier can sleep 5. Our room had two queens and a daybed.

Correct, we are currently booked there and knew all the rooms have the extra sleeping capacity. We are thinking about switching our reservation to DL Hotel but would like to keep the sleeper sofa/daybed option. I'm thinking we will just call this weekend and see what the "room types" are all about.

We were very happy Paradise Pier, stayed 3/4-3/9.

*The rooms have been recently refurbished. The beds are very comfy, linens super soft and towels very thick. Rooms have a fun beach theme, which incorporates many Disney touches.
*The location was closer to the theme parks than the DL hotel. We cut through the Grand Californian, directly across the street. DL hotel requires walking through all of Downtown Disney to reach the parks.
*We had a theme park view room and watched World of Color (with the audio from the tv) every night! We would have also seen the Disneyland fireworks from our room, but we watched them in person the only night they were scheduled during our vacation. You can't watch WoC from DL hotel.
*Rates are less expensive than DL hotel, with deluxe amenities.

We have stayed at all 3 resort properties and found the best experience and value to be Paradise Pier.

Tavalu, thanks for your review. We have gone back and forth about the two resorts. It seems pretty evenly split when it comes to folks personal preference. The additional bed (sofa) is something we would like to have. Although we are only a family of 4, we have two boys who like their own bed, so the extra bed may prove to be the tipping point. We like the overall look of the DL Hotel, pool and food choices better but as you've stated, the pricing and location of PP is appealing as well. I know wherever we choose, we will have a great time.

Well I called today and was told that PP and DLH both have standard rooms with and without the sofa/day bed. The sofa/day bed can be requested for the standard room at both hotels. Just thought I would share the information.
