Nice chunk of change for 13 acres.My thought on if she decides to stay in Orlando is it would be a perfect opportunity for Disney to offer her the property that River Country sits on and let her build there.Gets her the exposure back she was looking for when she originally built near WDW,and gives WDW the opportunity to get rid of an eyesore and headache without shelling out any money.Plus it would add a dining experience for park guests,it would fit into the theme of the Wilderness resort and campgrounds area, and gives the attraction access to the stable facilities already in place.

I can promise you, with all my might, that dixie stampede will NEVER rebuild in orlando. We were a problem for them from the start. Then we formed a union against them, and they recieved tons of fines. That scared the hell out of the rednecks that run the joint. They received so much bad press over the years, THEN to top it all off, the bad press they are receiving now from the unannounced layoff.

we had a really good time there Christmas 05..yes it was kitch , yes it was OTT, but we really had a ball.
The STAFF were fab - and that really made the experience.
We appreciated you guys and will be sad to think it has ended on such a sour note

It is bad. We had no idea. We kept asking "is everything ok, are we going to have jobs?" and they kept telling us that everything was fine and that job security was not a question. And they DID NOT call us all into a meeting to let us know.
The best part is that they are saying that "some are staying on, some are transferring and all employees are getting a servernce package". Ok, 1) A few managers are being kept on or transfered, and a small small handful are being kept on for labor. As far as the severence? Yeah, try living off of two months of server pay (3.65 an hour plus low claimed tips). Thank Dixie! I was happy I served you and your guests. Makes me proud to know you care.

Why do you refer to the union as "against" the employer?
