DISTANCES TO PARKS CSR VS POFQ

Hello All, I am looking at these two resorts as possible options. I have never stayed at either. I understand CSR is a very large resort, and POFQ is one of the smallest. I wanted to find out the
transporation times to the different parks from these two resorts, as this could be a major factor.
Also if you would give any postives and negatives for each resort that would be most helpful. Thanks Again!!!!!

These are the 2 resorts we stay at most often. POFQ definitely wins on bus times. It shares most buses with POR, but not buses to MK, at least when we were there. The ride to MK was very short. POFQ is closer than CSR to MK and DTD (and even has a boat to DTD). CSR is closer to AK and BB.

On other positives and negatives:

CSR is the only mod with a fitness center, and has the biggest hot tub. Pools are very nice at both but I'd give CSR the edge there too.

POFQ has a typical food court, while CSR doesn't. If you're on the dining plan, Pepper Market at CSR is a great use of QS credits. If you're not on the dining plan, Pepper Market is way too expensive, and Cafe Rix is a much smaller, more crowded and inferior version of a food court than you'd find at POFQ (or anywhere else).

CSR has terrific transportation. It doesn't share buses with any other resort like POR / POFQ. CSR is centrally located so you'll have a quick ride to all the parks. And being a convention resort, the buses seem less crowded because guests are busy with their conventions.

CSR is the most central to the 3 parks. The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World in part three "Selecting your Hotel" it states that the commuting times to the parks from CSR are: 7:30 to MK; 4:00 to Epcot; 4:45 to MGM; and 4:45 to Animal Kingdom! As a comparison from POR it is 12:00 to MK; 8:00 to Epcot; 12:30 to MGM; and 16:15 to AK. See the map below.

We've stayed at both resorts and distance is a non-issue as it doesn't vary much between those two resorts.

Sometimes POFQ has its own bus. Sometimes they will cycle around POR, which is up to 4 additional stops and takes time. CSR has 4 stops, always in the same order, within the resort.

Having stayed at both, POFQ definitely wins with proximity to the parks. The bus rides to the parks (with the exception of AK) are short, and I was pleasantly surprised how short the ride was to MK.

My reply is missing lol. I never felt like the times were as great as the ones you listed. Mk was a quick trip going the back way. Ak was longer but not an issue.

I have been to CS and it reminds me on CB. Very spread out. I love POFQ and we only shared a bus with POR once. During peak times they have their own bus and always loved the fact that we got our bus while others waited.

If you are driving and you're on WDW property, it doesn't matter which hotel you pick. You're close enough.

I have not spent a great deal of time taking the bus, but I have noticed that people have problems with all the busses, everywhere. It's part of taking the bus. Sometimes the bus is late or doesn't show up at all. Of course, Disney won't give people bus schedules, so you never know if your bus is late or just wasnt supposed to be there for 45 minutes. But, whatever. If you take the bus, bear in mind that the occasional long wait is part of the joy. :)
