Amazing! The only thing is that the Spa at the Hogwarts Resort should be moved to the Venetian or the Mediterranean. Something to do with atmosphere. Maybe we should consider making this a real park, instead of something free... And then building a Future World park!

I think it would be wiser to limit movie-inspired attractions to a Magic Kingdom and/or Disney-Studios-style parks. Do some research on British and Canadian folktales or legends or culture, and create something original. Just a suggestion :animwink:. Best Wishes.

Ok so the Spas are going to be taken to the Venetian however, there is one problem with the over-all location itself that would hinder it from becoming a gated theme park.

There are too many shops and a lot of the East side has stand-alone attractions like water-parks and an indoor inter-active role-playing theme park.

Ummm... i don't think so. So no.
Isn't the whole point of a World-Showcase style park or entertainment district to expose tourists to the cultural wonders of many of the world's greatest nations? I mean, Harry Potter isn't even licensed to Disney anyway! Maybe there should be a 3-D/circlevision film/simulator attraction called "The Mysteries of the British Isles", for example. Just a suggestion.

Well, HP is indeed licensed to Disney, not in the Theme Park way, but it is. I like the idea of this place, and it's going in. BTW, it's a Harry Potter hotel, not an attraction.

There is just so much more to Britain than HARRY POTTER! I mean, you even forgot about Ireland, which is considered part of the British Isles. We can have a Vacation Club or Deluxe Resort Hotel themed to the architecture of Ireland or Wales, and another resort hotel themed to the facades of London or something like that. BTW, since we have both a Venetian and a Mediterranean Resort in our complex, shouldn't the Mediterranean represent Southern Italy and Sicily and the Venetian represent Northern Italy, where Venice is located?

[annoyed] It's a HOTEL! People LIKE Harry Potter. Ireland is considered the British Isles, but not the UK. We have a FERRIS WHEEL as the attraction for the UK. If you have a problem w/ it, then please tell stitchcastle, because the UK is no longer MY problem. [/annoyed]

[pleasant] Well, yes. I understand where you're coming from with the Venetian/Mediterranean problem and I agree with that. Thank you for bringing that up! [/pleasant]

Ok with the Venetian and Mediterranean thing sure they could represent 2 sides of Italy.

A new Feature in World Showcase is the "Residents of the World" program where families sign up to stay in World Showcase for the duration of their vacation and become "part" of the country in which they reside. During the day, they would don costumes and live as if they truly were residents of the country. perks would be unlimited access to the attractions of World SHowcase and a theme park of their choice.

here's the American Adventure Pavillion:

The American Adventure - Graced with a scale replica of the White House, the American Pavillion is modeled to respresent the ingenuity and dreams of what is America. The pavillion is themed to the old colonial style architecture commemorating the great minds and leaders that came from this land.

attractions:

The American Adventure - A circle vision, audio-animatronic show that re-tells the history of America from its discovery to its future.

Norway - The area of Norway resembles a Norwegian town square with its cobble stone courtyard and a replica of a 14th century fortress found in Oslo, in addition to the architectural styles of Norwegian towns like Bergen and Setesdal. A stave church pays tribute to the 13th Century medieval craftsmanship.

Attractions:

Maelstrom - a far more advanced version of the boat ride from Epcot.

Germany - A fountain with a statue of St. George slaying a dragon, is the centerpiece of the cobblestoned German platz (plaza) in the World Showcase's Germany. The architecture reflects a diverse cross section of German regions, from the replica of the medieval castle to the fairy tale Bavarian style buildings. The clock tower features a glockenspiel that chimes a special melody on the hour.

The star attraction of the Germany pavillion is the Train tour around a scale model of the German countryside.

East Side

Mexico Heralded by a huge replica of the pyramid of the sun, the Mexico Pavillion is covered by groves upon groves of Yucatan Forest and jungle. The Mexico pavillion would be quite similar to its Florida counterpart with an indoor "outdoor market" as well as a new longer version of "El Rio Del Tiempo". But what's new here is that the Mexico Pavillion takes you back in time and manages to take you into a night in the age of the aztecs where the people seems as though they really are aztecs.

China - China is a huge pavillion which includes all the elements of the Epcot version of the pavillion, a scale model of a Chinese marketplace, a huge Chinese palace used as a theater, a restaurant by a lake which shows a lovely recreation of the famous guilin hills, and a roller coaster themed to the great wall.

attractions:

The Ballad of Hua Mulan - A Musical featuring Chinese acrobats and gorgeous costumes

The Great Wall - A highly themed kiddie roller coaster.

I'll post the rest later ^_^

YAY! *claps* I love it! Would the "Residents of the World" program make the people Cast Members, or just playing around in your country?

Oh, I'm thinking of a ticket program. What do you think of "Disney's Makin' Magic" for a name? It would be similar to Magic Your Way.

How about Disney's "Wish Come True"?

"Residents of the World" won't require guests to be castmembers but will allow them behind the scenes looks at the amenities of World Showcase.

Egypt - Egypt has some of the most unique architechture of all the contries in WS. Modeled to the Egypt of ancient times, Egypt is a visual marvel to behold and is truly one of the more outstanding aditions to World Showcase. It graced with walls upon walls of heirogliphics and ancient statues of egyptian gods. Egypt also boasts 3 gigantic ancient pyramids which are used as projection screens during the Illumiantions show.

attractions:
Secrets of The Pyramids - A huge indoor real-life role playing game where children are unleashed upon the inner sanctums of a lost pyramid. Here they must gather clues about where the lost treasure of a great pharaoh is before they are caught by the monstrous mummy.

Japan- Japan is a pavillion adorned with gardens and truly captures the tranquility of the Japanese lifestyle. But don't let the serenity of the area fool you for just beneath the ancient Japanese palace, which stands as the main building of the Japan pavillion, is a bustling showcase of Japan's techno savy citizens as various shops sell both the old and the new in this indoor market and mini-theme park.

Attractions:
-The Japanese Gardens

-The Sanrio Carnival - a collection of carnival rides themed to the famed Sanrio characters

-Mt. Fuji - A flume ride through Japanese lore as you explore the famed Mt. Fuji.

Costa Rica - The Costa rican Pavillion is World Showcase's Little gem as it would be the smallest but the loveliest of them all. The architecture is Spanish colonial and there is a crystal palace containing tropical gardens of Costa Rica. There's an orchid show at the entrance. The conservatory covers a third of an acre, it has waterfalls, tropical birds -- a very relaxing atmosphere. You'll exit through a tourism area. There'll be a snack bar serving seafoods and melons. Leather items, carved wood and that sort of thing will be sold in the craft and merchandise area.

there, only 6 more pavillions left (The Carribean; Thailand; Australia; Saudi Arabia; Morocco; India), if you guys feel there should be more, just post your thoughts and ideas. i'd have put in an Africa pavillion but I was going to propose the addition of an Animal Kingdom to the resort. If there won't be an Animal Kingdom, then there would be an Africa Pavillion.

Now, that's more like it :applauds:! Although I think Walt would be enraged to see the inclusion of "carnival rides". However, I have one question: Is the Japanese Gardens a walk-through attraction or an actual ride?
Best Wishes,

Well! That's great! A few problems though,

1. Mt. Fuji is seen as religious. That's why it wasn't built at WDW. Put it in a different place.
2. With the current heat against the Middle East, Saudi Arabia would not be wise to build at this time.
3. NO ANIMAL KINGDOM. Put in an Africa Pavillion.

Here are some of my ideas for an African pavilion, based in part on abandoned ideas for an Equitorial Africa pavilion back in the '80s in EPCOT Center:
--Fauna of Africa (tentative name): Circlevision 360 film about Central Africa's most amazing wildlife
--Passion for Africa (tentative name):Stage show in covered amphitheatre with African music and dance
--Reminiscence (tentative name): IMAX film about the many varied cultures and history of Africa
I'm a show freak ;).

The Japanese Gardens would be more like a huge park where people can hang out and just relax and enjoy the scenery.

The Carnival rides would be highly themed to fit in with the Sanrio characters so they would seem as though it's a mini-fantasyland with different characters.

I love the ideas about the equatorial Africa pavillion. My original plans was to create a sort of "Kilimanjaro Safaris" type attraction involving live animals as well as an Africa Lodge.

"The Passion of Africa" sounds amazing my imagination is going crazy already. For the title I think we should research an african word for Music or Song.

I would still include Saudi Arabia since no matter what harsh times we may enter, its culture is still a vital part of the collective history of mankind. Besides, with all the problems in the middle east, this might be the only way to show off a different, more peaceful side to these countries.
