Disneyworld December EMH - Pro's and Con's?

I am going in December this year and i was looking to which days at each park. The question is what are the pro's and con's of the EMH?

Does it make a huge difference in terms of crowds and wait times?

Is it better to do the EMH at Magic Kingdom in the PM or AM?

I am travelling with my Girlfriend, would i need to book most restuarants ahead of time or would it be ok to book on the fly?

Cheers

It depends on your touring style... DH and I loved the evening EMH's because we got more time with fewer people that way. Morning EMH's are only an hour, while the night ones are usually two hours. Plus, we like to sleep in, so no way were we getting up for the morning EMH's ;)

You should absolutely book any sit down restaurants you want to visit as far in advance as possible. Some may already appear to be booked up; if that's the case, keep checking back about once a day or so until you get what you want, because often times will open up as people's plans change. Definitely don't plan to do any of the major restaurants on the fly, as they often turn people away who don't have reservations.

Have fun!

Book your dining ASAP - there will not be a lot of availability, especially at popular places! If you're going during Christmas to New Years, it's pretty much the most crowds Disney will ever see in the year, but completely worth it if you have a plan, are flexible with your expectations, and enjoy Xmas in Disney! Personally, we enjoy EMHs and take advantage of them whenever we can. It probably does make certain parks more crowded because they have EMHs, but we don't park hop and find immersing ourselves in the park for an entire day, plus and hour or two, a gift!

I especially like AK morning EMH, MK night EMH, and HS night EMH. We are always able to walk on to a good number of attractions in the morning, and moreso just relax and enjoy the atmosphere at night.

Definitely book restaurants now before you get locked out of any good options!
I find night emh at MK worth it!
Morning emh at AK, Epcot, HS, and MK worth it.
We were able to ride Test Track 3 times in a row and Soarin once in the hour before the park officially opened.
We then used our fp+ to ride test track once more later in the day! ;)

We try to hit all early EMH. If you can drag yourself out of bed and you move quickly around the park, you can get more done in that first hour without crowds (and usually the next hour too) than you can the rest of the day! I would consider hitting an evening EMH park late in the day to be able to stay out later. Mid-day it is likely to be rather crowded with non-park hoppers who want to take advantage of those late EMH.
