DisneySea Imagineering Thread

After my first day visiting DisneySea I am pleased to say my expectations have been well and truly passed. During my day at the park I had one thought one my mind, this park is an Imagineers wonderland! The amount of thought that went into the park is spectacular and it all works so perfectly.

So I thought it would be a fun idea to have a thread dedicated to the DisneySea theme. It's not a challenge and there are no rules, just share your ideas! New attractions, areas, modifications, even your own interpretation of the theme in a different country. Anything DisneySea!

So go ahead and have fun. Try to post more than once if you can. The theme has a lot of potential and I would love for this to be a continuous discussion thread. Enjoy ;)

I would give its mermaid lagoon section an e ticket dark ride to be the centerpiece attraction that would draw folks in there. Something better than journey of the little mermaid, this one has to have a GIANT usrula

What would you change/modify/add if it were in Orlando?
Off the top of my head right now I would change the Little Mermaid area and theme it even more to Atlantica! Add a dark ride better than the one we have! but I will get back to you on the rest later!

If it ever came to Orlando I'd like to see Journey to the Center of the Earth extended with a few scenes. The ride was great but felt a bit rushed.

I'd extend the slower dark ride section by adding a couple events related to the mining backstory. Maybe a drill malfunction that causes the room to fill with steam instantly, it could be related to the monster waking somehow.

I'd extend the thrill section by adding more of an ending to the attraction. After the big drop another scene involving the monster would really help the ending. Add a few more lighting effects and it's perfect

perhaps an indoor drop maybe where as you drop you see the head of the worm monster come out at you? that would add some thrill

It would certainly add some thrill, but that just feels too overdone to me. I'd like to have guests know the monster is there but never show it. That way the thrill is left to their imagination and the suspense it creates.

In terms of Journey to the Center of the Earth....That ride looks brilliant! Without being on it though I cant pass too much judgment! However there are a few things I would do based off videos online. I would make the section when you first arrive with the bioluminescent plants and creatures longer and explore that part of the world more.
Then as it comes time for the thrilling section maybe make it longer before you zoom up and down out of the volcano. Maybe make the monster somehow sort of start the destruction of the core and then you are racing to get out for a while and then burst out and come back.

Some other ideas I had were what if there was a show scene where your drill literally almost falls into a magma pit!? Like you finally enter the core of it all ( I picture it looking like a giant pit with a sun inside of it! Could be cool)

Also I agree with @WED99. The ending is very abrupt. I feel like when you come back down into the tunnel after the drop, you should almost at least go back into the caves of glowing crystals and dig your way back up a bit. Its just seems rushed!
