Hi everyone....
just wondering does anyone have any idea what time and day the actual race starts, i am getting conflicting days and times, this is what i see on the rundisney site:
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler
Saturday, September 29, 2012
Time: 10:00 p.m.
Start/Finish: Disney's Hollywood Studios

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler is a nighttime road race that will end in the shadows of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Your run into the fifth dimension will also take you to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex before returning to Disney's Hollywood Studios where the course will feature the Lights, Motors, Action™ Extreme Stunt Show, then turn down New York Street, wind past the Sorcerer's Hat and return you to an unforgettable finish at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 10-Miler features:

10-mile course through the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Disney's Hollywood Studios
Disney Entertainment on-course
Event Weekend Transportation for Walt Disney World® Resort guests staying at a host resort

but then this is what i see on another forum:

9/28/12- 9/29/12

Begin making reservations for this new race on February 14, 2012. Events this weekend will include The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler, a Family Fun Run 5K, Kids' Races and the Disney Villains Hollywood Bash post-race party!

This nighttime race will take you through ESPN Wide World of Sports, Hollywood Studios (including the Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show!) and end at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction!

Prices for the weekend's events are:

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler
$90 (by 3/27/12)
$105 (3/28 - 5/22/12)
$120(5/23 and after)
Family Fun Run 5K
$50 per person
Kids' Races
$10 per child
Disney Villains Hollywood Bash
9/29/12 10:30 pm - 3:00 am
At this post-race party, runners will enjoy a DJ, meet and greets with Disney Villains and ride on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Star Tours, Muppet Vision 3D, The Great Movie Ride and Toy Story Mania! Tickets to the event are included with registration to the 10-Miler race; friends and family can purchase tickets for $44 by 8/31/12 or $54 9/1/12 and after.


I am just trying to plan my days on when i would need to fly out.

The race starts at 10pm on 9/29.

The afterparty starts at 10:30pm on the same night.

So any family friends who watch you start at 10, will have thirty minutes to walk to the Park entrance before the party starts.

It's a great event--we will be signing up this week!

ok so the party will still be going on while we're racing, correct?
and then we can join the party when we finish the race?

awesome thank you, this will be my very first time and i am very nervous.:dazzle:
i don't know how to plan accordingly....when is the best day to arrive? etc. i was thinking Thursday so i can at least go to MK but i don't know when the expo would be.....

Yes, it is incentive. The FASTER you finish your race, the MORE TIME you will have in the afterparty. And the EARLIER you finish, the SHORTER (sometimes non-existant) the lines will be.


We get there on Thurs. Expo is simple--there for maybe an hour max including transportation.

You'll have fun and you'll sign up for another runDisney event!

oh GTK about the expo, so the Expo will be Thursday then, what will friday be? since the race isn't till Saturday night?
sorry for all the questions i am just a tad confused and nervous at the same time :(

The Expo is Friday and Saturday. I reccommend to go on Fri, the first day.

Also, if you can afford it, try to stay at a Host Resort: Any of the All-Stars, both Port Orleans', and Beach Club & BoardWalk (and therefore Yacht/Swan/Dolphin are also super convenient.) This will help you with free, reliable transportation.

and i def. plan on staying at a host resort :sohappy:
