Disney's Riura, Peru Resort

Hi! I have started working on a project called Disney's Riura, Peru Resort. I think Disneyland has been overused, but I can't use World...so I need something besides what I have. It would be located in or around the city of Riura, Peru, South America. This is kindof close to the Equator, giving a warmer climate than California or Florida. It is located right on the Pacific Ocean, but is far enough as so a Hurricane can possibly do damage, but not much.

The parks would be Magic Kingdom (Main Street USA, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Discoveryland, Boston Plaza, Frontierland, and Toontown) and Animal Kingdom (new and different from WDW's!). The water parks will be Creek Country (kindof like WDW's River Country) and Caribbean Cove. There would either be a Downtown Disney or a Disney Village. Finally, the hotels will be: "Harbor Inn" DELUXE(same theme as Yacht and Beach clubs with a little Grand Floridian thrown in), "Aztec Resort" H-A-F-H(themed to ancient Aztec towns), "Yellow Mountains Lodge" MODERATE (themed to the Alpine Mountains of Sweeden and Switzerland), "Cinema Magic Resort" VALUE (themed to Disney cartoons and movies).

I will post ride lists, restaurants, details, etc. later. Tell me what you think! What should I add, what should I take away, what should I change?

How close is Riura, Peru to the Equator? I'm a bit antsy about placing a park anywhere near the Equator-- TOO HOT!!!!!, especially during the Summer!!! :brick:

Well... okay... uh.... Riura isnt RIGHT on the Equator...but is a lil too close... hm... how about Cuzco... it is probably just a lil bit closer than Florida. It looks like (on the map im using) that it is right inside the Andes Mountains. That would be cool! Just think, a theme park surrounded by Mountains! lol

Maybe, we could put a Disney Airport here too! I mean a BIG airport, not a lil two passenger planes airport...i real JET airport!

Ever thought about Brazil?

For a Disney theme park in South America, Brazil might be a better choice-- particularly in the Rio De Janero area. Political Issues aside, Brazil has a greater population and more tourism than Peru.

Just my two cents worth! :)

I thought about Brazil, but the Group Imagineering Project (which I am in) is doing Brazil. So, I didn't want the rest of them to think I was copying thier idea. But, if you all think Brazil would be better, I guess I can put it there. In the Rio De Janero area it goes then! I should have the ride list for Magic Kingdom up soon!

First, one of WDW's biggest tourism bases is South America, there is no way they would ever buiild a park there for fear of killing their tourism base in either country, basic economics really.

Second, do something innovative. I'm sick of seeing ALL of these Magic Kingdoms, you've done like 50, and no offense, your ideas never seem to get any different as time progress. Do something original.

Thirdly, When designing a Magic Kingdom, preserve the ideals and beuaty of the park, don't taint it (as I've already seen). Most people seem to lack the ideas upon which Disney was based on.

Fourthly, please do research before you attempt to create something because it makes one look foolish (or stupid). - The WeirdOne :D

Ok Weird One, you really need to improve your tone. I know you meant no offence, but the way you put it seems too harsh and would hurt anybody's feelings. I see your points in that post, but you could have put it in a different way to get your point across and not sound too harsh. It sounds like in your post that you are calling Wannabe Walt stupid ( which he's not ).

Now for my thoughts:

How about make your theme park in Austrailia? The tourism there is great and a successful park can easily be made there.
I suggest a new theme park besides animal kingdom. Get creative and see what you can come up with. Look for inspiration all around you and see what you find.:) I suggest a new land idea because I kind of don't like the Luckey Horshue Ranch idea. Figment Dream came up with the idea of Baltimore Square. Maybe you could do somthing like that ( but get his permission to use it of corse. Edgar Allen Poe lived there you know, and maybe you could have somthing like that of his books for the HM. I suggest a few new rides for the themepark and an Autopia instead of the speedway.

One of the talents I've noticed you've had is resort ideas. They're all so good. i'm horrible for comming up with resort hotel ideas, but you're good at it. keep up the good work!:sohappy:

Thanks again for the comments! I appreciate it. I was kinda stuck when I came up with Lucky Horseshoe Ranch. I couldn't think of much, excpet New York Square, San Diego Square, and maybe San Jose Square. If I did San Jose Square, the HM could be themed to look like the Winnchester Mansion. New York Square could have some kind of old, colonial house. And San Diego Square could have the haunted house there (cant remeber the name!). My cousin lives in San Diego, so I could get quite a bit of info on it!

FUNNY (kindof): When I was making this idea, I kept wanting to put a Hall of Presidents somewhere, but I kept stopping myself because why would SOUTH AMERICA need a USA HALL OF PRESIDENTS? lol just thought I'd tell you that.
