Can't believe this isn't being discussed...

Disney is luring people to enter for a daily sweepstakes that the winners get a 5/4 trip to WDW including a stay in the Castle suite

There is a new winner selected everyday in January. That’s 31 winners who will receive a 5-day/4-night dream vacation at Walt Disney World Resort for four that includes:

  • 1-Night stay at the Cinderella Castle Suite in the Magic Kingdom Park
  • 3 Nights at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel

I entered for the heck of it. It would be pretty cool to stay in Cinderella Castle for a night and my annual pass did just expire so it would be nice to have the free trip ;) For anyone who wants to enter you can use your MDE account if you have one. That's what I did and it worked.

I just saw this contest on facebook. I will enter each day, can't hurt. I mean, who wouldn't love to stay in the castle suite? I too wondered what they meant by flip side, and if it would be a new promotion for the year, or just a contest tagline.

If you win, are you allowed to leave the castle after MK closes, or are you stuck in there until morning?

They sure do like to keep those promotions secret don't they? I wonder why? You would think that those of us that are always on a Disney Board would have been bombarded with it. Until today I never heard one word. There even was a thread, I thought, that asked if there was any start of the year give-away. It seemed to just die out.

Disney offered a similar sweepstakes last year... I can't remember if it included a night in the castle or not though.

I can't see why the idea would offer any 'insight' on 2015 marketing?

I read through all the rules and they mention a "Grand Prize" at the end, but never said what it was. Is it just another trip or did I miss something?

I was confused by that too. I think it's just a matter of semantics. As far as I can tell, they are giving away 31 prize packages, one for each day of the month. But since the first drawing isn't until January 2, there are only 30 prizes awarded in January. Each day's prize is awarded from only that day's entries. However, all non-winning entries are carried over to the Grand Prize drawing, held on February 1.
