Disney's Magical Moments Game

Could anyone give me some info on the "Disney's Magical Moments Game"? I have read about it inthe Spring 2002 Disney Magazine on page 60 tip # 107. It says that this is a new handheld game that is available in "limited locations in the four parks" as kids walk around the park and go near activating sensors, the game lights up and starts to play. It has 16 games on it and they are attraction based. It costs $19.99~ thats about all it says. What I am wanting to know is this...where are the limited locations? Has anyone bought one? if so is it worth it? does it keep the kids content in long lines? also does it do anything outside of the parks? does it run on batteries? if so what size? we will be at DW for 10 days including Memorial day so we are expecting crowds..i thought boy this would be great to keep the kids occupied...if we could find it on day one and let them use it all 10 days...anyway, I appreciate any info you can provide me!

I bought one for myself while I was there in March, just to see what it was like as a nifty park souvenir, and it's fairly cool. I think younger kids will get the biggest kick out of it. I'm 22, so most of the games are a little lacking to me (and I'm a diehard fan of the original 8-bit Nintendo, so that gives you an idea of how limited the graphics and play are on the games), but it's a neat way to get kids further "into" being at the parks.

When you buy it there's one game already unlocked based on Cinderella Castle. The other games to unlock are:

MAGIC KINGDOM:
Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, It's a Small World

EPCOT:
Spaceship Earth, Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, Test Track

DISNEY/MGM STUDIOS:
Walt Disney Studios, Hollywood Tower Hotel, Rock N' Roller Coaster

ANIMAL KINGDOM:
Dinosaur, It's Tough To Be A Bug, Kilimanjaro Safaris

The good thing about the game is that even if you don't get to all of the areas to unlock the games, after about seven days all of them will automatically unlock. The only downside to the thing is it has no OFF button, so everytime you just happen to hit the start button it will remain on for several minutes until the automatic shutoff kicks in. That eats away at battery power, and the thing uses 3 AAA batteries, so that can get a tad expensive if you have kids that constantly use it.

Hope that helps. :)

The locations to buy them really aren't to limited. They are primarily sold wherever the Magical Moments pins are sold...which is in all the bigger shops. You should have no problem finding the game.

Thanks...I was sort of wondering why they would only have it in limited locations..but thats what it says in the Disney Magazine..so I didnt want to have to spend alot of time hunting this down! I think we will plan on getting one..i think it will keep the kids happier in line...well, thats the plan...

Go Blues, indeed!

Yeah, they aren't too hard to find. The first place I saw them was under the Sorcer's hat, but I ended up buying one at a cart in front of the American Adventure in Epcot.
