Something has stopped the Expedition Everest roller coaster at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Bystanders report this afternoon that guests were being removed from the ride, which has been closed.

Any more information? Posted on orlandosentinel.com around 300pm or so.

OMG, and there was PANIC IN THE STREETS!!!!!!!

And in other up-to-the-minute, unnecessary news reporting, the fryolator at my local Wendy's broke down...

Evacs are either fun or awful, depending on the attraction.

Everest seems like the "fun" category.

Makes me curious.... has there ever been a thread where people posted on what it was like to be evac'd from the various rides? I'd be interested to know which are fun and which are awful... and why?

This is still a Disney message board, right? Maybe not earth-shattering news, but it is Disney news.

If you search Youtube you can find videos of people being evacuated from rides such as Dinosaur and Splash Mountain.

I wasn't on it but two years ago we watched as the Expedition Everest train was stopped in the visible part just after the first tunnel, which is more than half way up the mountain - very high off the ground and entirely out in the open. The CM's were escorting the riders one by one out of the cars and inside the mountain. I think I would have been in total anxiety mode if it was me , having to walk the track beside the train from that height and angle!

Might be an interesting thread, but might also be less than you'd expect.

I've evac'd Small World and the Mansion. The latter is fun because it's efficient and the guests don't get angry and usually think it's kind of cool. The former is a nightmare because it's long and difficult and thus the guests aren't too happy. Pirates is even worse.

I've been evac'd off of Splash Mountain five times.
