Disney's European Village

Okay...I'm a brand new user. I love this site I come here every so often but I've recently been coming more often. I've acquired an increasing interest in Disney and I am just dying to work there. I am strongly considering taking up an internship opportunity there as a performer. I don't really have the brains to be a real designer or any type of engineer. However, I have really great ideas I'd love to share with people. I would love your opinions and feel free to comment!

Here's my first (my favorite) idea:

Disney's European Village: Reflective of Epcot's World Showcase, I think it would be very interesting to have a Moderately priced resort that would have village like sections representing different European countries. For example:

Alpine Village: Have Replicas of Alpine houses, etc.
German Village: Setup like a small German town
Italian village: Possibly with Venice as the inspiration for the main pool and/or have gondolas that run throughout the resort.
British Village: A small big ben possibly
French Village: where the sit down family dining restaurant or the counter service would be.

Just a thought...maybe it could be a "world village" even. Thoughts and comments are welcome and encouraged...thank you so much.

Sounds like a pretty solid idea......

But make the French Village another resort area, for the central commercial area maybe make it like a World's Fair theme so that you could have elements of all the different villages in the area, you could call it the Great Exposition or something and have it like one of the turn of he 19th century European Expositions, that way the area could be a mix of themes from all the other "villages". The central area needs to be a mix of all the themes at the resort or some sort of "over-theme", so something like this would work much better

For pools I would suggest having one pool area per "village" to make the theming easier, although you could still have the Italian area have the biggest pool, but have the gondolas fun onto the permute of the resort in a larger than canal river, like you are on the Mediterranean Sea or another body of water and going past the different countries, or some sort of river system withe pure transition areas where you blend one landscape to the other like you are taking a river tour of EUrope, but even then at some point you would need to cross the channel ;) It really wouldn't make much sense to have just Venice canals running through a small Bavarian Village.

Maybe add a Spanish Village section

But really keep it to Europe it would just make more thematic sense and the flow from area would be allot easier as it would be to blend one European style into another.

I could really see this as a quaint resort with lots of old world european charm

yeah i think that would be a really great idea or like have little shops that sell like authentic items imported from respective countries.

I've had this idea for the longest time. I was reading many back posts dating back to like july and such with similar ideas. Since this idea is floating around I wish Disney would be like "Hey that's a really good idea." but I doubt it would ever happen simply because of the possibility of a lawsuit.

It still would be awesome though.

I wanna be an imagineer SOOOO bad but in no way could I ever be an engineer. I'm too dedicated to my theatre career and I don't know jack about mechanics and physics and stuff.

Still...a mini-dream
