Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort Upkeep

I have read that the upkeep of Disney's Caribbean Beach
Resort has suffered and my sister got a bad room there last year
and had to complain to be relocated.

Has anyone else had a bad experience there?

I stayed there in 1996 without a problem and am returning there
again this October with my kids and wanting a Magical Time.

I was there two trips in a row. The first time we got a good room, the second time, our room was fine, but not as nice and the resort itself was getting a major refurbishment. I personally like PO-Riverside a lot better.

I am also going in October and after reading terrible reviews was a little hesitant myself. I have been told by many people on this site that they are completely renovated. Last year they were still in the process of renovating and perhaps your sister got stuck with a room that wasnt done yet. I hope my information is correct on this being as how this will be my first time there. Any WDW hotel is magic to me. Actually, just a vacation at this point will be magic..  I havent been anywhere cept for little day trips since my WDW trip in 2000. I hope your stay is enjoyable. Lets us all know when you get...I promise to give a full trip report including everything from the pools to the quality of toilet paper..kidding...but I will report everything.

From what I've heard, they completed all room renovations about 6 months ago. We were there in May and had a refurbished room, which was in excellent condition. I had no complaints about the condition of anything at CBR.

CBR is a HUGE place--2112 rooms. At the rate of one renovation per day, it would take (?what) 6 years to do them all.

That is no excuse, of course, but an attempt to put things in perspective.

If you 're not happy with your room, ask (nicely) to be moved. If there are empty rooms, this should not be a problem.

I would hope they would work on more than one a day with all Disney's money.
