Disney's caribbean beach resort - buses

I'm staying at the Caribbean beach resort for my two year wedding anniversary Nov. 2012. I've noticed that there are a ton of bus stopped (probably because the resort is huge). We are going to be visiting the parks everyday and I have no idea which bus stop we should go to.

Any advise? Also, how often do the buses come?

My Family just stayed at DCB resort at the end of Sept. We were in the Jamaca section. That bus stop was almost always the first picked up and the first one dropped upon return. My wife faxed a request to the hotel a week before we arrived asking for Jamaca building 46 which is right next to the bus stop. It was awesome and we just had to basically walk across the bridge to get to Old Port Royal.

Thanks!! I've always stayed at the Polynesian so staying somewhere else with bus transportation only is something very new to me.

Did you feel overwhelmed with how big the resort was? Also, it says on a web site that it took around 20-30 minutes to get to any park? Is this accurate or should we give ourselves more time?

Sorry for the 20 questions but we are very excited about staying at a new resort and i'm thrilled that you had such a great stay.

Just go to whichever bus stop is most convenient to your room, or the one near the food court if you're going from breakfast directly to the parks.

Buses can enter the CBR property from two different places, so they'll stop at either Jamaica or Martinique first. (I believe most routes start at Jamaica)
They've also apparently added a stop at the Custom House (front desk) since my last visit, though I'm not sure where on the loops that is worked in.

And because of these two different starting points for the lop around the resort, you can always use the buses to get from one place to another. Just ask a bus driver if they'll be going to your destination before getting on. (They also sometimes run an "Internal" bus route)

If you'll be staying in a Preferred location room, I suggest Martinique 25 or 26, which is right next to the food court, and also right next to the food court's bus stop. (Even closer than the Martinique village bus stop)

No, we loved CBR so it did not seem too big. That is about right for the buses running about 20-30 min to each park. No sure on the bus time to Downtown Disney because we drove our POV. I liked Jamaca, again, because it was about 98% of the time the first stop and my wife always had a seat.

Have a great trip and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

Thank you for all your advise - Now I'm really getting excited now and we are officially less than 1 year away!!!!

I will call and ask to stay at the Jamaica section. Did it cost more to stay there?

Again, thank you for all your advise.

Jamaica is not one of the Preferred sections.

You didn't mention it, but if you booked one of the Pirate themed rooms, those are all in the Trinidad South buildings, which are among the farthest rooms from the food court.

My choice for a non-Preferred location would be Jamaica buildings 44, 45 or 46 (or even Aruba 51). Those are close to the Jamaica bus stop, and also right near the bridge across the lake to the food court directly on the other side.

I loved staying at CBR, although we were in Barbados, and that bus stop seemed like it took forever for the right buses to come... I would listen to what the previous poster's have said about requesting Jamaica or somewhere close to there.

This is all so helpful. I'm going to be all set once the the time comes to stay there.

Side note: As you know I am staying there for my 2 year anniversary. Is there anything romantic that I can set up there to surprise my husband? I'm sure there is but I do not know the grounds that much yet.
