I Never read the books, actually I never heard of the books. Im not sure if it's I dont like the trailer or if its that I just don't get the trailer. It's just a teaser so I'll have to wait for a full trailer but so far it hasn't pulled me in.

Finally the long awaited sequel to Agent Cody Banks! I’ve been waiting so long for this.

Wait... it’s crossing over with MIB? ...

.... Not feeling this one Disney.

It's such a pity, Disney has had access to quite a few book properties over the years that I think could be 'good'.

What I really think they need to do with these aborted studio properties (although this is probably the last one scheduled) is turn them into TV series for their streaming service instead. Especially with the way TV has gone these days, I really don't want to see book properties adapted into 90 minute movie screenplays. Do them justice.

Odds on this being shunted into an exclusive streaming property?

The first book, at least, is terrible. Just frickin' terrible. I couldn't even finish reading it. Junk like Artemis Fowl is something we can thank J.K. Rowling's success for, I guess. Any book with a young antagonist who deals in some way with magical forces gets a green light from publishing houses, apparently. Maybe Disney can make a watchable film from the dreck, though. The Potter films certainly improved on the books. We'll see...

Also, what is the significance in the name “Artemis”? I’m seeing the usage of that name in a lot of characters lately. Just a curious thought.

Other than being a Greek goddess? And where else are you seeing the name?
Hotel Artemis and one of the supporting characters in Ready Player One. Both movies released this year alone. Perhaps I’m thinking way too into this, but speaking for myself, I’ve never heard of this name until I watched these movies.

Guess The Wild, Wild, West is before your time.

It does seem odd that the name "Artemis" is mostly applied to male characters these days when the classical Olympian deity is female.

Starring Will Smith? I’ve definitely seen it years ago but had forgotten.

In Ready Player One, the main protagonists love interest was named Artemis (Art3mis). Decent film if you haven’t seen it.

Yikes. I figured it'd be bad. But not THAT bad!

The review from Capital Times:
"If you haven't read the "Artemis Fowl" books, you'll have a hard time following the movie. If you have read the "Artemis Fowl" books, you'll have a hard time liking the movie." - Rob Thomas

Sounds about right.
