Here is my newest plan- the next value resort for WDW (let's just pretend that everything is going great, crowds, money, etc. POP is finished...). This resort, Phase I opening in 2015, will glorify the 50 states and Washington D.C. in a brand new, one-of-a-kind, unique experience. The resort is divided into three areas; Atlantic States, Central States, and finally Pacific States.

Here are the phases- Phase I- Atlantic States, Phase II- Central States, Phase III, Pacific States.

If anyone wants to help with this (room design, concept/graphic art, icon ideas, etc.) you are more than welcome to do so.

I really like that idea, it would be fun to see what they have for your state, kinda like the quarter thing. All I ask is that for wisconsin you over look cows and cheese, unlike the stupid quarter. that made me sad :(.

Here are some Icons I've been thinking of. There'll be 1 major Icon for each state, so there'll be 3 Big icons for each building.

Massachusetts- Fenway Park Courtyard
Maine- Lobsters / Atlantic Rock Pool
New York- NYC walkthrough
Connecticut- that tree on the state quarter
Florida- 4 Park Icons
Georgia- Peaches
Virginia- Large figures of presidents born in Virginia
Washington D.C.- Capitol, White House, Washington Memorial, and Lincoln Memorial Facades.
North Carolina- "Airplanes Flyin' Through Time"

Well, with the info ImaginEAR has given, that would be 17 buildings, totaling 3,264 rooms. I'll take room furnishings and dining! (IKEA, here I come!)

Yup, 51 States divided by 3 States in 1 Building is 17. Correct.

I'd also like to help just a bit with the food courts. Naturally, as this is a value resort, no on-site dining except the pool bar and the food court will be offered, and maybe some other stuff.

Here's a "Trip Report" of people's experience at Disney's Across America Resort Atlantic States. They stayed in the Washington D.C. area.

We just returned from Disney's Across America Atlantic States Resort and we LOVED it!!! Let me give you a full step-by-step version of what our trip at the resort was like.

1. we entered the lobby. For a value resort, it was AWESOME! Similar to POP Century, this had an area themed to each state and Washington D.C. there were shadow-boxes with items and photos from each state. We looked around. There was a great movie area for the little kids to watch movies (Rapunzel was playing!) while the adults checked in. There was a great little shop, Gallery Atlantic, offering objects from each and every state represented in Atlantic Years. We were pretty hungry, so we headed over to Atlantic States Tour Stop (Disney calls Across America a tour. Tour the country in an imaginative way.). Well, there was food there from every state in Atlantic States! Impressive.. I wish Central States would open soon for my Mid-Western meat. Ah, well. Time to check in!

2. Check in was quick and simple. First the lady at the desk, Krissa, asked if we had any preferences (yup. At Across America, it's customary to see what state you want to stay in). We asked for Washington D.C., 4th Floor, Central States View (It's opening next year and is finished on the outside). Well, she assigned us to Washington D.C. room #9451, overlooking the main pool and Louisiana in Central States! By the way, they also ask you what state you're from, so they don't assign you to a Maine room if you're from Maine (unless you wanted that)

3. Location to Atlantic Hall was great! It was a peaceful, 5 minute walk to Atlantic States Tour Stop and Gallery Atlantic. Plus, you get to see the awesome icons! (I'm staying in Massachusetts next time. I must cheer on my Sox!) Also, washington D.C. was very close to the Central States Area. All you have to do is cross a small river.

4. Buses were awesome! Since the resort is not finished, there is only one stop, near Atlantic Hall.

5. Housekeeping was great! Very clean, and we got a towel animal!

6. Noise is much better than the other values. Also, the bathrooms are a bit bigger than those in POP Century.

All in all, I hope to be returning to Across America very soon!
NOTE- Disney's Across America Resort is located in the Epcot area, north of the Disney-MGM Studios, and may be seen by the monorail.

Uhhh... just make it big, lots of seating. Make it similar to Everything POP (except the shop) at POP Century. Oh, and if you can think of a better name, be my guest.

Here's what I have for you regarding the food court.

The Interstate Highways of America. Road Signs advertising different big cites hang on walls and ceiling. Also used as room dividers. Other road signs are all around too. The flooring is both a fake road, and checked carpet. The Fake road, vinyl flooring that looks like a road) starts at the door and runs through the area where food is bought and then runs around the dinning area, separating the different sections. Each section then has a different checked pattern.

The Tables are 50’s-ish, with shinny, vinyl fabric. And the tables have an inlay of post cards and road maps in them. The booths look like 57 Chevies. (Not Sic-fi Diner style though) Booth fabrics and tables are same as other tables. Lighting comes from what look like streetlights, from the ceiling.

as for a name, Im thinking maybe Road Trip, or something like that.

Or it could be called Roadside Diner (or that could be a restaurant if you do one). Or you could do a Roadhouse (like Logan's Roadhouse). So far this sounds really cool. Here are some icon ideas:
1. New York-Statue of Liberty
2. Missouri-Gateway Arch
3. California-Hollywood stuff...

O! And if the state is hosting the Olympics, for that entire year, the state is decorated differently and special!

1. Yup. There'll even be the Statue of Liberty Pool. There's also NYC Courtyard, walk through the streets of NYC.

2. I was hgoing to use that. Yup. And I also wanted to tie Missouri into Marceline, somehow.

3. California will be hard. Currently I think I've chosen several icons- Hollywood Sign, Sleeping Beauty Castle/Grizzly Peak, Redwood Trees, Golden Gate Bridge... I need to choose one of those...

It depends how you are going to theme the California section. If you do the natural beauty of California, go with the Redwoods. If you do the Disney side, to the Castle and Grizzly Peak (thought I wouldn't recommend doing that since its a Disney park...try to stay away from the Disney (that seams wierd but are any of their "good" hotels Disney based?)). If you go with the Urban and City theme, do either the Hollywood sign or the GGB.

Hmmm.... okay. I think I'll go w/ the "California Urban" theme, with the Golden Gate Bridge and the Hollywood Hills Sign.
