I know this is a thread for WDW fans, but I have just been invited to go to Disneyland for the day next weekend. :D

I have never been. Is it a lot like the Magic Kingdom in WDW?

What are the things that are "Must See?"

Thanks for your help

Woo hoo! You'll have a great time! I've been to Disneyland twice and I recommend hitting your WDW favorites at Disneyland to see the difference and also the attractions that WDW doesn't have. Their Matterhorn is a headliner so you definitely want to see that. I also love Small World there and the Storyland Canal Boats (or something like that). You can get a Dole Whip and enjoy Fantasmic. Disneyland is smaller than Magic Kingdom and has many of your favorites plus a few other offerings. If you check out the Disney.com website, they list all of the attractions in Disneyland, just like they do in Disney World.
Have fun!

I second this! I've been to Disneyland twice and loved it all :) Besides the Matterhorn, you can ride Mr. Toad and Roger Rabbit too! and oy my, I almost forgot, you can ride Indiana Jones. Have fun!

1. The Indiana Jones Ride!!! It is AMAZING!!!! You will definitely need a fastpass for it. (And in line, if you see a rope that says 'do not pull/touch' pull it! you are supposed to!)

2. HM - You can see the updates and decide whether you like them or not. (I was their last April, I got to see Leota 2.0, but not the new bride.)

3. Matterhorn Bobsleds - already mentioned, but being the ancestor of EE, you need to check it out

4. Alice in Wonderland - Fantasyland Dark Ride, I love the movie and it is the only one of its kind (unless you count the maze in DL Paris).

5. Pinocchio - Fantasyland Dark Ride that is not in WDW

6. Storybook land canal - already mentioned, but is a nice, slow ride

7. Casey Jr. Train - get another view of the minatures in the Storybook land canal

8. Tiki Room - the original version before Zazu and Iago took over

9. Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spin - the line to the ride is well done, and keep an eye on the license plates!

Basically, EVERYTHING is a "MUST SEE":p

 You're going to have a great time!

My must sees are:
Indy
Space Mountain- I'm surprised no one has mentioned this!
Matterhorn
POTC
HM
EDIT: never mind about Fantasmic. Pirates Lair construction has started, so no more show for a while.
Remember
Parade of Dreams

Keep in mind you are going on a weekend, which can get pretty busy. So try and do the big things right away when the crowds are smaller.

Have a great trip!!

Don't miss Space Mountain, they just refurbished it recently! POTC is wayyyy better at DL than WDW! You'll get to see Capt Jack too ;)

If you go to DCA, don't miss California Screamin'.....great coaster!! :)

Have a nice time!!

The layout is a lot like Magic Kingdom, but it has a few unique lands (New Orleans Square, Mickey's Toontown [not the fair], Critter Country) and a bunch of unique and better attractions.

Must Sees:
  • Indiana Jones Adventure (Unique to DLR!)
  • Matterhorn Bobsleds (Unique to DLR!)
  • Splash Mountain (Better than the WDW version imo)
  • Space Mountain (Definately better than the WDW version)
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • Roger Rabbit's Car-Toon Spin (Unique to DLR!)
  • Haunted Mansion (Better than the WDW version imo)
  • Pirates of the Caribbean (WAY better than the WDW version)
  • Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters (Better than the WDW version)
  • Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (Unique to DLR!)
Also, if you're looking for some attractions that you won't find at WDW, try:
  • Indiana Jones Adventure
  • Tarzan's Treehouse
  • Enchanted Tiki Room (original version)
  • Pinocchio's Daring Journey
  • Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
  • Alice in Wonderland
  • Roger Rabbit's Car-Toon Spin
  • Matterhorn Bobsleds
Have a great trip! Hope this helped,
