Well, I thought of an idea that I think is great. I saw something like it somewhere on these boards, but I have a spin on it. It wouldn't be IN Toronto, but somewhere near where there is a ton of land, and also 3 hotels to start off. And it would work...
The first park that would be built would be a classic Disneyland, with the best versions of all of all the rides, like Poohs Honey Hunt from Tokyo and California's POTC. You may be thinking, "Matt, don't you know it gets cold and snows in the winter?" I know that, so there would be a big @$$ dome over the park. Also, an advantage of that is being able to put roofs over certain lands. It would be awesome to have tomorrowland dark all day long with tron like lights over the ceiling and wall! This is the lands list for the park:
-Main Street Canada, haha it can't be USA!
-Adventureland
-Frontierland
-Fantasyland
-Toontown
-Tomorrowland
This is the list of NEW lands:
-Ozland
-Winterland
You probably know most of the rides in the original lands, but in Ozland, you have a very well themed area, a Peter Pan type dark ride through the new movie, and another ride. In Winterland, you have a nightmare before Christmas coaster, and a giant dark ride through classic holiday movies like Rudolph and frosty. You could also have a Frozen ride.
Why would it work?
1. It would get the whole Canadian demographic
2. It would draw crowds from the Northeast US, like Boston and NYC
3. It would be one of a kind unique
Later, you could add new parks, one based on Pixar and one based on many different franchises. For the Pixar park, you could have a TS land, monstropolis, a bugs land, etc, and also not have it polluting the other parks. For the other park, it would be an IOA type park with Star Wars, Marvel (A bend in the contract because it is for the USA only, right?), etc.
There would also be a DTD there, and maybe eventually an indoor water park. Thoughts and ideas?
