My mother and I are talking about taking a little escape to Disneyland and I am dying to go to LA. I know it's only 32 minutes away but I was wondering what would be the easiest way to get there. My mother is worried about driving there. Is there anything in Anaheim such as a bus to get to LA. Also, while in DL, where did you stay? What would you suggest for a nice place to stay for not so much money? Thank you in advance everyone.

There is always the metro link train that drops you off at Union Station in L.A. and you can take a bus to any part of L.A. you want. Here is a link to the metro link schedule..
Just click on the Orange County line and you’ll see Anaheim on there.

We drove from Disneyland to Hollywood using the most direct route after the morning rush hour. Time? 90 minutes. Stress level? High. I would take the train as stranger suggested.

Or just look at post cards and skip LA all together. Doing the LA tourist thing was probably the most disappointing thing ever. I expected an I Love Lucy experience but what I got was really narrow sidewalks filled with homeless people and lots of traffic. It really is Hollywood Magic out there because the way they transform that cruddy area into a glamourous redcarpet event is amazing.

One trip we made we took a Tour Bus that went to all the sights and even had a meal included. I don't remember the price as it was a long time ago but it was well worth it not to have to drive...

If you book through the Walt Disney Travel Co., you can actually book such a tour. I am trying it this summer...sounds pretty worthwhile to me.

Thank you everyone. Stranger, that's exactly what I was thinking but I had no clue where to start. You helped me very much. Thanks a lot.
