While our whole fam is going to WDW in June, Mom and Dad are taking a belated 25th wedding anniversary Mexican Princess Cruise in a couple of weeks. After said cruise, they will be staying at the Anaheim Hilton for 2 days and going to Disneyland AND California Adventure. (If I don't say it enough, my parents are.awesome.)

They love rides (nothing that goes upside down - Mom's recovering from radiation damage and does NOT enjoy those), nice restaurants (not Victoria and Alberts nice, but the Canadian Steakhouse nice), drinks (they j'adore walking around Epcot with margaritas), and relaxing shows.

What should they do? Any suggestions - thanks!! :~)

Howdy!

Since they love rides, they'll love everything but California Screamin', which is a rollercoaster that goes upside down in DCA. Definitely check out great rides like Space, Indy, ToT, Thunder, Matterhorn, Splash...and the tamer ones like HM, PotC, the Fantasyland dark rides, Soarin'...

Nice restaurants- Well, the DLR doesn't have great food options. My biggest recommendation would be Napa Rose, which is located in the Grand Californian Hotel. It's the greatest Disney restaurant, imo.

Drinks- I'm not legal to drink, but I believe the only place to get an alcoholic beverage is in DCA, at the Cove Bar. It's located in Paradise Pier, right next to the Ariel princess lunch/dinner.

Just an extra note- the parks will be crowded because it's summer. The park is empty for the first 2-3 hours, so getting there when it opens is a great idea. Also, fastpass is your friend. :) Definitely take advantage of that.

Plaza Inn is nice plus the food to great too its not a sit down and not really counter service but a cross between the two in a way. I think there called buffiertia's

For shows though you cant beat Aladdin at DCA its 45mins but worth every min of watching. Just plan to arrive 15-20 mins before the show time since the doors close at the posted times. Mezzinane (sp?) is the best level to see the carpet fly over.

Theres no alcohol in DL but DCA has a few I think most serve beer and theres also a beer cart in the Pacific Wharf and as Nicole said the Cove Bar. Theres also the Winery and DCA's Food and Wine festival starts soon not as big as Epcots but its been getting bigger every year.

I also might suggest some of the restruants in Downtown Disney. :) Catal is a nice sit down place with great food. I also enjoy Tortilla Joe's and the Uva bar is a great place to grab a drink (and they carry food from Catal's kitchen! A definate plus!).

I also REALLY like Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. At night, it can be pretty romantic to sit upstairs on the balcony, overlooking Downtown Disney. If they time it right, they can sit and enjoy dessert and the Disneyland fireworks!
