Disneyland Ticket Question

I will be traveling to Newport Beach for work in January. Since it is so close to Disneyland, I'd love to make a quick stop to finally see that park. I have heard that you can purchase tickets later in the day at a reduced rate for the evening hours. However, I can't find any details for this on the Disneyland website. Can anyone confirm that this is still true? Do you know if this is something that is offered year-round, or just at certain times? Thanks for your help!

Typically those kind of tickets are only available to convention or event groups. They're not sold to the public, so if you walk up to the ticket booth they won't be able to provide you an After 4pm ticket. The price difference is also pretty negligible - I think it's something like $20 off the price of a regular 1 day ticket.
