Does anyone know if you can request a cot for a King room?

I just went and asked for you on the Disneyland website, via the Chat feature.

I hope you don't mind that I assumed you were a legally married couple, as I didn't want Megan Rose to think I was... well, you know. At least not at Disneyland. 🧐

If you do decide to Chat and you get Megan Rose, tell her I said hi.

Thank you for chatting, we are so excited you're planning to visit the Disneyland Resort in California. My name is Megan Rose. How may I assist you today?

You
at 14:43, Aug 25:
Hi. Is it possible to have a rollaway bed added to a King room?

Megan Rose
at 14:43, Aug 25:
Good Afternoon!

Megan Rose
at 14:43, Aug 25:
The resort hotels don't offer roll away.

Megan Rose
at 14:44, Aug 25:
Bedding can be requested king + day bed depending on the hotel and subject to availability.

You
at 14:44, Aug 25:
Ah. So a King room comes with a day bed?

Megan Rose
at 14:45, Aug 25:
Depends on the hotel.

You
at 14:45, Aug 25:
I've stayed in a King room before, and it had a couch along the wall that turned into a small bed. We have a legally married couple who have a small child.

You
at 14:45, Aug 25:
At the Disneyland Hotel.

Megan Rose
at 14:45, Aug 25:
Thank you.

Megan Rose
at 14:46, Aug 25:
Disneyland Hotel premium view with club level offers king bed + daybed. Again, bedding is on request.

You
at 14:47, Aug 25:
Ah, okay. So it's not an automatic feature of every King room? We should make that specific request when we book?

Megan Rose
at 14:47, Aug 25:
The premium view with club level sleep a party of 3.

You
at 14:47, Aug 25:
Okay, thank you. On all my previous visits I've stayed in a Club level room, so I guess I just assumed all rooms had that extra daybed couch.

Megan Rose
at 14:47, Aug 25:
Standard rooms type, with a king bed, doesn't offer the daybed.

Megan Rose
at 14:48, Aug 25:
When do you plan to travel?

You
at 14:48, Aug 25:
This fall, after the park reopens.

Megan Rose
at 14:48, Aug 25:
You can book travel date from September 16 until the end of the year.

You
at 14:49, Aug 25:
Good to know! So Disneyland is reopening on September 16th?

Megan Rose
at 14:49, Aug 25:
You can book travel dates. At this time, the parks are closed. Please keep checking back for updates.

Okay, thank you. I appreciate your help.

Honestly a bit lame they don't have rollaways available. They could charge $25/night for one- like what would be the downside to offering the service?

I can understand if they didn't want to at the Grand but DLH and PPH should have them...

It has to do with fire codes and size of rooms, hallways, number of stairwells and probably a dozen other factors.

New thread idea, people make requests (whether serious or hilarious) for you to ask about on the Disneyland chat feature.

Oh my gosh, that could be so much fun! Let's save that idea for a rainy weekday this winter, when we're really bored.

Meghan didn’t even flinch at your legally married couple comment. I bet she’s still talking about it in the break room though. 🤣🤣🤣

I hope so! I can only imagine the bizarre questions those poor CM's have to deal with on a Chat shift. I'd like to think I gave them a little break room fodder this afternoon.

I feel like Ms. Rose wasn't very forthcoming with information. "Depends on the hotel" like why not just say which hotels offer the bed option Mr. 2000 was requesting?

Yeah, Megan Rose was being a bit vague. And then there's the 30 second delay feature during those chats that make it even more awkward. I assume that I was chatting with a real human, but one that is thousands of miles away who may never have even been to Disneyland, and she can only look at basic room info on a screen.

I have a strong hunch however, that her real name isn't Megan Rose.

I wonder which CM's are responsible for that chat. Disney does have the travel call center off of Broadway in Anaheim, so I'd assume there's a few people there that have to answer the chats.

This address- 190 W Center Street Promenade, Anaheim, CA 92805

But doesn't Disneyland also have an on site location for answering phones?

Of course, the ticket salesmen that work the booths in the esplanade are titled 'vacation planners', though the only vacation planning they do is suggestive up selling of Maxpasses.
