When buying tickets for the disneyland resort on a recent family vacation the cast member at the ticket kiosk told us that, tickets bought for the Disneyland resort could be used at the Walt Disney World resort aswell, but tickets bought at WDW could not be used in Disneyland. This seemed a bit strange to us.
Can anyone help and tell me if this is true or not!

Thank you!

From what I understand the tickets are exclusive to each park and cannot be used in each other. I could be wrong but thats what I have been told about tickets.

Years ago, Disney used to give out these special tickets to Cast Members and also to stockholders (I still have a bunch of them that I've not used yet). The tickets can be used at any domestic Disney park and are one-day park hopper tickets. I've never used them at Disneyland even though I could if I wanted to. They have no expiration date and they would get me into both DL and DCA. But to me it makes more economic sense to use them at WDW where I can into all four parks.

Anyway, as far as I know, they don't distribute these anymore (but I could be wrong). And I don't believe they EVER offered them for sale. The only thing I can think of is that this Cast Member was somehow referring to these tickets and maybe thought you could actually buy them. Of course, even that explanation is a bit of a stretch. Now that I think of it, I think the Cast Member was just confused.

whether I'm at DLR or WDW, every time I tell somebody I'm an annual passholder and visit both resorts, they want me to clariy if my pass gets me into both resorts, and I have to explain that they are seperate passes.

Most people (CM's and guests) at one resort just have no idea of the ticketing structure at the other resort, unless they have visited both.
