Disneyland Resort Restaurants

We would like to plan some good meals (not too expensive) at some restaurants either at the Disney hotels, inside DL, or within walking distance. Any suggestions? No chain restaurants, please since we have them all at home.

We're dining at BLUE BAYOU at the Magic Kingdom, WINE COUNTRY TRATTORIA at California Adventure, and STORYTELLER'S CAFE at the Grand Californian Resort. I figured that would give us one scheduled meal a day and one in each area of the resort.

Blue Bayou seems a little pricey, but at lunch time the menu is basically the same with much cheaper prices!

You are really limited to sit-down places at DL, but Wine Country and Storyteller's were both recommended to me by friends who work there. I figure if they eat there on a regular basis, it must be good!

Other places we plan on trying that are NOT sit-down-priority-seating places are the Carnation Cafe, and Pizza Port at Magic Kingdom.

Don't forget to check out the choices at Downtown Disney too! There's lots of them and we will probably eat there at least once during our trip! I'll be sure to post about the experiences when I get back!

HAVE FUN!

Thanks

Thanks TTATraveler, DCA Fan, and Brer Stitch...I'll be there enough days to probably try all of them since you all agree on some.

We also loved Storyteller's Cafe.

For dessert, be sure to hit the Haagen Dazs store in Downtown Disney right across from the Grand Californian. One word of caution: it's highly addictive, and if you stop there early in your trip, you may end up there every day.

thanks, Generation X...the ice-cream idea sounds great, and I know it's addictive...so I may pass on that one! Besides, there may be great desserts at the restaurants.

Ariels Grotto at DCA now has Princess lunches and dinners. You get an appetizer, entre, dessert, drink for $21(13 for kids). You also get visitation from 5 different princesses. This is a must do if you have a son or daughter with any interest in these characters. I'm taken my daughter their just to have lunch on a weekend.

From our experiences, I'll tell you my family's favorites:

Blue Bayou - Amazing restaurant with great atmosphere. You MUST try the Monte Cristo.. it's the best sandwich ever!
Napa Rose - Hands down one of the best meals I've ever had.
Granville's Steak House - Delicious food and the prices really weren't that bad. Especially the prix fixe they were offering while we were there...
Be sure to try a Dole Whip, Churro, and these really yummy chocolate chip raspberry cookies, too! DL has the best food! I liked their offerings much better than WDW.. :slurp:

Dinner at Hook's Pointe - Disneyland Hotel
Breakfast at Storyteller's Cafe - Grand Californian Hotel
Lunch at Blue Bayou - Disneyland

... those were our favorite meals when we were there in Feb. Enjoy!
