Disneyland Planning Questions

Hey Guys! I am in the process of planning our first trip to Disneyland! Right now I am tentatively looking at a seven day stay with the dates falling somewhere within the last two weeks of January.

I have a couple of quick questions (Probably more to follow):

How long will the Haunted Mansion and Small World be down for removal of the holiday overlays? Will the later part of January be enough time for them to be up and running again?

Everything I have read thus far indicates rainfall will be at its highest of the season, is this a major factor or will it be comparable to a Floridian stay?

Does anyone have experience with the parks during that time of year and would you recommend it?

I assume this post goes under "Disneyland" and not "WDW Resorts and Planning". Is it "WDW Resorts and Planning" meaning exclusively WDW trips, or WDW resorts and all Disney trip plans are welcome?

Okay, those last two questions aren't part of my planning questions.

1. There's a good chance both Mansion and small world will be closed during your stay, especially small world. Last year, it closed late January for a week and opened early February. Mansion is usually closed for at least a week too. If you want to see Mansion and small world as their normal selves, I'd go in February.

2. Rain in California is nothing compared Florida's rain. It's worse in Florida. I will say that some attractions may close due to rain, like Teacups. If it's drizzling, everything should be okay. Youll be fine, should it rain.

3. I guess I'm the wrong person to ask, but I will and do go to Disneyland anytime of the year. If you're going for seven days, it doesn't really matter when you go, unless we're talking dates for closures of rides, because you will see everything in seven days and crowds won't really matter. Seven days is a lot for Disneyland. Were you planning on doing something else in California during those seven days?

I'm pretty sure they stagger the closing/re-opening of Small World and Mansion in January. One re-opens as its normal self in the middle of January and the other goes down the same day. So you wouldn't see both, but definitely one.
