BTW is MAgic Kingdom bigger than Disneyland. Does Disneyland have more attractions than MAgic Kingdom in FLA.

DL has more attractions than the MK.

They also have better attractions, better theming, better CMs, and an all-around better park. :)

That's purely based on personal experience. We did WDW and then did DL. There are pros and cons to both, without question. In our experience, the CMs at WDW can not be matched, let alone topped, anywhere. PotC was unquestionably better at DL. PLus you have the "Splatterhorn" (aka Matterhorn) at DL. In our experience, WDW was cleaner, greener and friendlier. They are both great experiences and if you get a chance to go to either one DO IT!!!

Disneyland has stuff that beats the snot out of Magic Kingdom. A better Adventureland, Fantasyland and Toontown, Dinosaurs on the train, and a fireworks show that beats the crap out of some of Florida's stuff.

Interesting debate - I've never been to DL but will continue to read and compare the parks (and peoples opinions).
Incidentally - Is DL just one park ? (Hence the comparison to just MK as obviously WDW is vastly larger than DL) If so, which is better if you compared them in their entirity - WDW or DL ?

Actually, Disneyland is a little over 80 acres and Magic Kingdom is 107 acres.

Yes, but that includes backstage and support areas.

Here is a picture of the 2 parks on top of each other, move the curser on and off of the picture and it will remove and replace Disneyland park over the Magic Kingdom. The pictures are each centered on the Partners statue at each parks Hub. You will notice East to West the Railroad tracks from both parks are on top of each other and also the same on Main Street. The big difference is to the North where the Disneyland tracks come much farther South but they have Toontown outside to make up the difference.

Here are a couple of Distances:

Partners Statue to the Center of the Carousel
Disney World: 506 ft
Disneyland: 477 ft

Center of Town Square to Partners Statue
Disney World: 686ft
Disneyland: 655ft

When adding the 2 numbers up there is a mere 70ft difference from the Center of Town Square to the Center of the Carousel.

What really makes Disneyland seem smaller is the scale of the buildings and the extra number of attractions in nearly the same size park.

I have been to both and I personally prefer WDW, I just think that the atmosphere in general is better (and it has a bigger castle :animwink: )

DL has California Adventure, a second park with no equivalent in WDW. We always tell people you really need to experience both at least once. You can't beat the weather and laid back atmosphere in California. It feels less rushed and chaotic at DL. There is much more Disney and general excitement in FL. We advise people that if they have 3 or 4 days, go to DL. If you have a week or more, go to WDW. These are the humble opinions of me and my family.

My thoughts exactly. When you add Indiana Jones, Roger Rabbit, and the Matterhorn, (not to mention better POTC, Space Mountain, and Buzz), plus originals like the Tiki Room and Mr. Toad, it's no contest.
