Hello. I'm here today to start a thread where we brainstorm ideas for a New Tomorrowland at Disneyland in California. This thread will be partially inspired by the one seen on Visions Fantastic: http://www.visionsfantastic.com/forum/f60/disneyland-new-tomorrowland-open-brainstorming-30751/. First, I will pitch my ideas/attraction roster toward the WDWMagic community. Then, we can tweak the ideas if we have to.

Tomorrowland
A vista into a world of wondrous ideas, signifying man's achievements; a step into the future with predictions of constructive things to come. Tomorrow offers new frontiers in science, adventure, and ideals, the atomic age, the challenge of outer space, and the hope for a peaceful and unified world.
-Walt Disney's Tomorrowland Dedication Speech, July 17, 1955

Astro Jets
Sponsor: NASA
Blast off into the outer reaches of the solar system in your own NASA space shuttle. Orbit the spiraling planets in your sleek ship that dips up and down at your command! Formerly Astro Orbitor, the attraction will be moved back atop the PeopleMover station. The centerpiece of the attraction is a tower depicting the sun and the nine planets of our solar system. The Disneyland 500
Sponsor: Ford
Take the wheel and race for the checkered flag on this fun-filled speedway of the future! Drivers of almost all ages can experience the thrill of putting their pedal to the metal on this imaginative raceway. The cars will now be powered by electricity and re-designed to look like futuristic racecars with sponsors from around the Disneyland Resort.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Sponsor: Hasbro
Help save the galaxy when Buzz Lightyear recruits you as a Space Ranger to thwart the Evil Emporer Zurg! Spin, twist, and turn as you shoot lasers at Zurg's minions to keep them from carrying out his evil plan to ruin the Galactic Alliance. Withe the concept of shrinking to the size of a toy gone, the attraction will now be themed to ABC's Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, which ran from August 2000 to January 2002.

Captain EO
Sponsor: Kodak
Follow Captain EO and his ragtag crew on a daring adventure to save the universe from the evil Supreme Leader through the gifts of music, dance, and light. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by George Lucas, Capitan EO is a heart-warming film with and enduring message.

Disneyland Monorail
Sponsor: Bombraider
Ride this "green" transportation system that rockets along a single rail that circles the Disneyland Resort! Board at the Tomorrowland station or the Downtown Disney District and sit back for a scenic trip. A new spiel will be recorded by Joe Hursh, the man who narrates monorail journeys at Walt Disney World. The complete monorail fleet will be Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange, Purple, Black, and White.

Disneyland Railroad
Sponsor: BNSF Railway
Board an old-fashioned locomotive for a nostalgic trip around Disneyland Park! These gorgeous Victorian-style trains stop at any of 4 destinations: Main Street USA, The Blue Bayou (NOS), Mickey's Toontown, and Tomorrowland. So soak up the scenery on this grand-circle tour.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Sponsor: Atlantic Marine
Dive into the Tomorrowland Lagoon and discover the mysterious depths of the sea! As the Nautilus sinks into the vibrant waters, explore the undersea curiosities and follow Captain Nemo on a research expedition through the perils that dwell in the ocean deeps.

Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress
Sponsor: General Electric
Follow a family through 100 years of progress in one of Walt Disney's favorite attractions. At each turn, you'll find that progress has improved our lives in for today and the distant future. Remember, there's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day.

Space Mountain
Sponsor: Continental Airlines
Rocket into the outer reaches of darkest space on this high-speed roller coaster that blasts into the future and back. Board a futuristic space shuttle and aim for the stars as SpacePort 77 counts down to the most daring launch of your life!

The Nintendo Experience
Sponsor: Nintendo
Score big when you discover this galactic game spot. The former home of Starcade is where you can explore life-size recreations of your favorite Nintendo games and discover Nintendo's plans for the future!

Star Tours: The Adventure Continues
Sponsor: Apple
The creative forces of Disney and George Lucas combine to take you on exciting adventures complete with new Star Wars destinations and out-of-this-world characters like C3PO, R2D2, and Darth Vader.

Aesthetics
"Tomorrowland 2011" will look remarkably like the New Tomorrowland from 1967 with a few elements leftover from the 2005 makeover. As you enter Tomorrowland from Main Street's central hub, you notice two buildings. On the left building, you see a sign that reads "BUZZ LIGHTYEAR'S SPACE RANGER SPIN" with "PRESENTED BY HASBRO" and the Hasbro logo. On the right building you see a sign that reads "STAR TOURS: THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES" with "PRESENTED BY APPLE" and the Apple logo. Strolling through the land, you start to notice a combination of Tokyo Disneyland's Tomorrowland design and EPCOT Center's 1982 Future World design.

I like the idea to base Buzz off of the TV show!:) It always seemed more like the show than the Toy Story movies.

What if the upper level of COP was the Innoventions dream home? Or were you planning to bring the EPCOT model back from WDW?

Kermitdefrog... you continue to amaze me. Great idea! Bringing back 20,000 Leagues, I'm with that idea 100%. One thing to add though, I'm not so sure that Hershey would sponsor a Disney attraction, because Hershey has their own theme park! Wouldn't send the right message to sponsor your own competition. Other than that, this is an excellent design! :sohappy:

If Hershey's as a Star Tours sponsor is a bad idea, who could be a good sponsor. Some likely candidates include Apple, IBM, and Dell.

Well, considering Steve Jobs has a very tight connetion with Disney, as he is one of the largest stock holders, I think Apple would be the likely candidate.

WEDWay PeopleMover Spiel

Here is the spiel for the WEDWay PeopleMover in Tomorrowland.

Designer's Note: The attraction will be sponsored by Hess and have a narrator named HES-1 that is voice by Mike Brassell, the man who does the spiel for Living with the Land at EPCOT Center. HES-1 got his name from the Hess Corporation's ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange.

Female Announcer: Please remain seated during the tour, keeping your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the vehicle. And please refrain from smoking. Thank you. Por favor permanezcan sentados durante todo el recorrido, manteniendo las manos, brazos, pies y piernas dentro del vehículo. Y por favor se abstengan de fumar. Gracias.

HES-1: You are now beginning a grand-circle tour of Tomorrowland aboard the WEDWay PeopleMover, the first system of its kind in the world. Since its 1967 opening, the PeopleMover has carried over 50,000,000 guests.

HES-1: Your tour of Tomorrowland will cover ¾ of a mile and give you a close-up look at many shows and attractions as well as previews of many others.

HES-1: Across the way is Star Tours: The Adventure Continues, a thrilling adventure across the universe from the creative forces of Disney and George Lucas.

C3PO: Hello! I am C3PO, and this is my counterpart R2D2. Welcome to the Star Tours Tomorrowland Spaceport.

HES-1: Just below is Tatooine Traders, where you’ll find the largest selection of Star Wars signature clothing, toys, and gift items here at the Disneyland Resort.

Mickey Mouse: That's right! It's out of this world! Ha-ha!

HES-1: You're about to enter one of Tomorrowland’s most exciting attractions: Space Mountain. For everyone’s safety, we remind you to please remain seated. Inside Space Mountain, you’ll rocket through the cosmos on a thrilling journey "From the Earth to the Moon." And now, here’s a sample of the high-speed adventure that awaits you in Space Mountain.

HES-1: In the Magic Eye Theatre, Michael Jackson challenges galactic powers in Captain EO, an unprecedented 3D musical adventure.

HES-1: Just ahead is Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress, where you can follow a family through 100 years of progress. At every turn, you'll find that there's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day.

AUTO: WARNING, you have invaded the electronic society of Captain B. McCrea’s Axiom! Prepare for the perilous adventures of WALL-E!

AUTO: You have escaped Captain B. McCrea’s Axiom, earthlings. But, next time, you may not survive to pass this way again.

HES-1: Above you is the Disneyland Resort’s highway in the sky, traveled by eight sleek monorail trains. The Disneyland-Bombardier Monorail System has carried over 75,000,000 guests.

HES-1: From here, you can see the gold and white spires of it’s a small world. There, you can join children from around the world on The Happiest Cruise to Ever Sail the Seven Seas.

HES-1: First introduced at Walt Disney World in lake Buena Vista, Florida, the PeopleMover use electric linear induction motors to propel us through Tomorrowland. There are absolutely no moving parts in these clean, quiet motors.

HES-1: Below you is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Onboard, you’ll glide through liquid space on a research expedition with Captain Nemo, exploring a fascinating world of eerie sea creatures and lost ships.

HES-1: We’re now approaching The Disneyland-Bombardier Monorail Station. There, you can depart on a swift, scenic tour through Tomorrowland, Disney’s California Adventure, to Downtown Disney and back.

HES-1: This high-speed transportation system opened at Disneyland in 1959 and was the first daily-operating monorail in the western hemisphere.

HES-1: We’re now passing Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Here, you can team up with Star Command to destroy the Evil Emperor Zurg and his minions.

HES-1: The mural seen by Star Tours depicts various events throughout world history that have changed our lives forever. This signifies that tomorrow will be influenced by these momentous events.

HES-1: As we near Astro Jets and the PeopleMover station, you can see massive portraits of the world’s great thinkers: a reminder that tomorrow will be built by the legacies of these wonderful visionaries.

HES-1: We hope that you’ve enjoyed you tour on the WEDWay PeopleMover and that you’ll have a pleasant visit to Disneyland Park.
