not disneyland but i would add a gravity falls themed land in Animal kingdom in place of dinorama. it could even be just as simple as theming it to the mystery fair from the show. tunnel of love (and corndogs) anyone? i picked animal kingdom because of its supernatural element.

I think I would like to see an actual Fantasyland with dragons, magic, a hidden underground world, and original fantasy concepts (a mix of Merlinwood from Universal Studios and Beastly Kingdom concept for Animal Kingdom). Have guests go on a quest that could end in several different ways depending on the actions of the guests, a dark ride through the fairy woods, a maze, and roller coaster similar to Dueling Dragons.

Back up ideas would be a full Tron area or a steampunk area.

That's an awesome idea! I wish Beastly Kingdom was built. I still love Avatar though.

I love @FigmentPigments ’s idea for a a more “mythical” Fantasyland. Taking less focus from Disney films and more like Frontierland and Adventureland (ideas from pop culture).

I think it’d work best at Disneyland, in the space currently occupied by Autopia. You already have an original attraction (the Matterhorn) which could become a framing device for this land. Some random ideas...
  • Wizarding World esq interactivity to give the feeling of magic all around.
  • A river rapid (one of the few rides not yet in DL) through a crystal cavern.
  • "Dragon Encounter" with animatronics.
  • Comedy stunt show starring a band of silly knights.
I'd stay away from a coaster because we already have Matterhorn, but if this were to be transferred to any other park I'd suggest some "Dragon Mountain" as the e-ticket.

A steampunk area would be cool, especially considering what Disneyland Paris had done with their Discoveryland area.

I could see something similar for Disneyland or Magic Kingdom, perhaps called Discovery Square. Design it to look like a late 19th-century city in the midst of a World's Fair or science exposition, with some Jules Verne-inspired rides in the mix.

Wouldn’t exactly work for Disneyland but Nomanisan Island from The Incredibles. The story can be that it was bought by Edna Mode and transformed into a vacation spot. You can have the Incredicoaster (assuming it’s not in California) with the same basic plot of finding Jack Jack but with an actual pre-show, jungle atmosphere, and actual Animatronics. Replace the wooden Rollercoaster system with maybe like the Test Track ride system?

I'm not sure about Disneyland, but I could see DHS maybe having a Toontown Studios section. Design it like a cartoony spin on a Golden Age movie studio, perhaps with attractions based around stuff like Goofy or DuckTales.
Maybe you could put in a family dark ride in this section starring Goofy and based on the old “How To...” shorts. Goofy could explain how to Film a Movie and of course, shenanigans ensue. The concept of implementing the Disney Afternoon characters also sounds super new and fun!

Thanks. Yeah, I think the Disney TV cartoons are unfortunately underutilized. At the very least, DuckTales seems like something that would have gotten a ride by now.

Nice idea for that dark ride. I could also see a dark ride based around the Silly Symphonies, taking you through scenes from some of the various Silly Symphony shorts.

That’s also a good idea. You could have a Three Little Pigs scene and use a combination of projection-mapping and wind for the big bad wolf or something like that.

Three Little Pigs would have to be ones of the scenes. I'm not sure of the others, but perhaps there might be Skeleton Dance, Music Land, or maybe The Old Mill.

If the ride is trackless the vehicles could dance in the skeleton dance scene. Maybe two of the ride vehicles race in a scene themed to the Tortoise and the Hare?

That could be a neat idea if it were trackless.

I've actually found myself thinking of what my own version of Disneyland would be like, and besides the main classic lands (Main Street USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland), I think I would have Discovery Square and Toontown Carnival (or some sort of Toontown-based area, considering I feel like you could do more with the idea).
