I paid that much for two three-day park hoppers in 2014 and got free fastpass. Boy how times have changed.Getting reemed for $450 for two one day Disneyland tickets + LL.

I see what you re saying. Do you think the average guest is aware though? You and I are as super fans. But do you think the average guest is aware of the park demographics? I don’t.
In your case, if you are willing to purchase LL’s Disneyland may be more in your favor than somewhere like TDR as annual pass holders are much less likely to purchase LLs. So while yes the entertainment is probably a bit harder to see or get a good spot the rides should technically be easier for you to get on.
On another note, which parks aren’t full of annual pass holders these days? All the CA parks seem to be majority pass holders.
I think DL is perfectly content with the current guest makeup, people (including Disney) love to complain about the APs crowding the park but most APs are still spending a ton of money on everything else, for every AP that packs a lunch there’s probably 9 that are spending $20 for a corn dog and a soda, then spending another $20 for a cocktail, then spending another $30 for the latest popcorn bucket or shirt. When we were APs we planned on $100 a day each for food and other expenses, a 3 day weekend was at least $600 in extra spending, and that’s not even counting hotels, if we met up with friends and had a couple drinks and a better meal that number doubled.Personally I think Disney is happy with the demographics of Anaheim. Guest spending at the resort is more than WDW makes in a day. Based on what CM I met told me about spending patterns here from what they gathered from TDA.
Well tomorrow my MK expires. Won’t be back for a few years (Universal AP activating soon, the following year planning to go back to a WDW AP for the first time in 3 years) it was fun but I’m not sad I’m missing most of the DCA construction, I’m looking forward to an Epic year, and then hopefully a reimagined AK, and Muppets in the RnRC. Planning my next SoCal year to time with the Olympics as I want to see them.
A perk of living in the Midwest, you are halfway to the entire country. That said, I’m not going to miss the two hour time change on the way home. Switching really keeps the parks fresh and allows my negativity to be suppressed. We’re letting our passes expire in January with the intention of most likely just doing the three day tickets for 2026 and repurchasing MKs in 2027.
We were at USH on Sunday. We have passes and go every 2-3 months. It’s close to home and very convenient for us but man, does that place need a few more attractions. As convenient as it is, I can’t imagine going more then once every 2-3 months. Mayyyybe if my youngest was 48 inches +. But must be nice to have a viable alternative to Disney in Florida with Universal.
