Disneyland in the Summer?

Hi Everyone,
Just came back from my second trip to Disneyland and it was an awesome trip and even though I grew up going to Disney World I realize I will not be going back there for a while and will instead make disneyland my go to disney destination.

Anyways, on to my question. I am planning on going back next year but wont be able to do it in the fall as we have done the past two years so we were thinking of going in the late summer. I know summer isnt the best time to go but from what I have read it is not incredibly busy as long as its not a holiday weekend and when the AP blackouts are in effect. Can anyone give some insight on the crowds in the summer and when might be the best time to visit? I have read that late August-early September is one of the lightest times of year. Our trip would be mid-week if that makes any difference.

Don't go in June. July is okay, for the most part. The good thing is, like you said, the SoCal and SoCal Select APs are blocked, and it helps. I'd try and go between early and mid August. If you go late August/early September, you'll usually find that Mansion down, and maybe even Space Mountain.

Mid August is a great time to go, and if you are able to go during the middle of the week you'll find the crowds are very tolerable.

I would avoid weekends if at all possible.
