Main Street:

Give many of the shops and facades good rehabs.

For the Disneyland Railroad, change the cars because I hate the current ones where you face in ward to the park. Change them so that you're facing forward and make the cars more authentic and pretty. For the Grand Canyon Diorama, and Dinosaur thing, make it bigger with dinosaurs on both sides of the track, and make better AAs.

The Hub: Polish up the partners statue, and have John Williams conduct beautiful backround music for that area.

Plaza Gardens theater: Give it a good rehab. Maybe make it into a theater with stage shows. But for performing bands and other local school performances, make a stage in fron of the castle which rises up. Plus for the stage, maybe have a Cinderella Suprise Celebration type show, except maybe Sleeping Beauty's Surprise Celebration instead because its her castle.

Sleeping beauty Castle: Make it higher. Yes, you heard me. Higher. It would be very simple: Raise the stone part up by at least 3 feet. Raise the part with windows above the archway by 4 feet, and raise the tower as well. Plus, put gold decorations up around the castle al well as the fiftieth logo above the archway. Also, add more castle spires and make it look more grand, like the castle in DLP. For the fiftieth celebration, put party hats on the castle spires. Reopen the diorama again, but with more changes. In the part under the castle, make it higher with an indoor balconey with stain glass windows of Sleeping Beauty. From there, you move onto a moving walkway where you see scenes with AA characters from Sleeping Beauty. This thing can be easily sextended to over the roofs of Fantaseyland attractions.

Adventureland:

Tiki Room: This really needs a rehab. Many people just don't like it. Here are 2 ideas for it: Add better specail effects and updated sound track and replace the roof! Maybe the show could have more stuff, and Iago interepts the show, and angers the Tiki gods and so on. Or, it could be made into a resturaunt, while you eat, the tiki birds around you sing, and so on. What do you think?

Jungle Cruise: Replace all of the AAs with new and better ones. The current ones look so terrible!

Indy: Give it a rehab, and bring back the ice maciine that made it look like the cieling was caving in. Add an on-ride photo section

Tarzan's Tree House: This is supposed to be tour through their house, not through their movie! Get rid of the diorama scenes, and make an AA sabor.

New Oleans Square:

POTC: Make the entire outdoor qeue indoors. Decorate it to look like an old new orleans fort or somthing. Similar to WDW's version. Plus, maybe a few tributes to the movie. Such as, an Advertisement for the blacksmith shop that Will Turner works at, and a portrait of Captain Jack Sparrow.

HM: Nothing.

At the part where Frontierland and New Oleans square meet, maybe add a few frontier buildings facing the river.

Critter Country:

Get rid of the Wild West looking buildings and make it more wildlife looking. Make the entire area give the feeling of the great outdoors, and the cast members are dressed like park rangers. Similar to the Wilderness Lodge. And Change the name to county woods.

Add a petting zoo here.

SM: nothing

Pooh: Make a more interesting qeue. Instead of blacklight, make it regular light ( except for the Hefalumps and Woozles scene ) like WDW's version. Make a longer blusteryday scene with better AAs, similar to TDL's verison. Also, make a bouncing withTigger scene.

I want an attraction with Ranger Woodlore and Humphry, but I can't think of anything. Any ideas?

Fronteirland: Add more themeing.

BTMRR: Make sure its safe. Add an on-ride photo section.

Big Thunder BBQ: Here's 3 ideas to put here: Either a resturaunt, Woody's Round-up dark ride, or Davy Crocket stunt show.

Get rid of the canoes.

Fantaseyland: Give all of the dark rides good rehabs with better AAs and qeue lines.

Matterhorn: Add more elements to it such as cold air, fog, and better AA abonidable snowmen! Replace the entire track and paint it white so its smooth, and blends in with the mountain. Paint the brakes, boosters, and retarders white also. Make the bobsleds look more wooden and authentic. and add a water wheel that looks like it powers the lift. Make the storage area for the bobsleds unseen to the public. And, make it faster. Not to mention a better and more interesting and more organized qeue line. The current one is a mess!

Philarmagic needs to be added here somwhere, but there's isn't any room.

Add a new show in the fantaseyland theater.

WHEW! that's a lot of stuff. I'm going to take a break and continue later. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Okay, calm down.

If I were in charge, in addition to the plans they have already, I'd just rehab the Tiki Room, add something to the old Sub bay and old Peoplemover tracks, build new monorails, maybe a few upgrades to some old attractions (like the sound system upgrade at IASW earlier this year) and focus the rest of my efforts on bringing DCA up to snuff.

Keep in mind that the paying customers wouldn't want to see hallmarks of Disneyland being rehabbed during the next two years. The same would go for a few of the Annual Passholders, I'm sure. Not to mention, Disneyland is the kind of place that you can't change too much, or else the public won't keep up with it's identity... which happened when the DCA and Downtown Disney expansion happened.

I think that you have a lot of great ideas. The hard part is that there is not the money to do all of those things right now.

I agree with most of your suggestions. If all of those things would be done, it really would be a fantastic park. The previous writer is correct that probably most of the money is going to go to DCA to get that park money making.

It is too bad, because I think that many of the suggestions you have made need to be done.

If you had a limited budget, what three things would you do? I think that Tomorrowland is hurting right now. Disney needs to get that area populated with rides. I would put my money there on a truly new ride. I vote for something like Mission: Space. (I know that it is too expensive, so I know that it won't be done.) Historically just doing one big ride will bring in customers. What one ride or improvement would you make that would be significant enough to bring people in when they have been there many, many times?

Disneyland has been painting and maintaining the park ALOT lately! I go about once a week, and I can see lots of improvements along those lines...But I wouldnt do much more than cleaning up Tiki, by NO means should they change it! They ruined the one in Fla. that way!
And as far as the train and such goes, they dont need to change a thing...keep those the way they are...Walt wanted them that way, and with the anniversary coming up, I would be working on maintaining his park as it was...
I really did think this post was a joke...:brick:

Ok, that seriousely wasn't too nice.

I know they are doing alot of repainting, but I'm just sayin keep at it. About Tiki, It doesn't have to be the new management version, but like the resturaunt idea that I had. We're gonna have to face the fact that noone other than us Disney fans like it, so somthing needs to be done with it.

For the train cars, how do you know walt wanted them that way? And if so, I think the curretn cars are ugly. They look like cheap cars from a zoo railroad train. I'd rather apriciate them facing forward than to the side. Besides, I've seen pictures of the railroad cars facing forward that were taken when he was alive, and if he wanted them the way they are now, they would be like that in the photos.

I know, maybe some of these ideas are a bit too drastic to be done by the 50th, but these should be done in time anyway.

I will now continue with my ideas:

Toon Town: Give it some good rehabs, and nothing much else, although make the line for Roger Rabbit's car-toon spin be actually inside the qeue instead of outside.

Tomorrowland: Is everybody ready? Ok! A complete rehab of the entire land! Tone down all of the gold colors and make it look more futureistic like WDW's version, and with a touch of DLP's version.

Star Tours: There's really nothing to do with this until Lucas Finnishes the 3rd film, but I think it would be neat if they had M:S technology for it. Atleast change the boarding video. Its hopelessly out dated!

Circle Vision Theater: Already getting Buzz. Do a good job with it Disney!:)

Astro Orbiter: Redesign and relocate it back to its original place where the Orbitron is now. Make it look more like WDW's verison.

Orbitron: Move it to the current spot of Astro Orbiter, and give it lasers and fiberoptics.

Old Rocket Rods track: Rebuild it, and put the people mover back, and rename it to the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. Plus, add a spiel like WDW's.

Innoventions: I don't think a DL exibit here is appropriate, because it messes up Tomorrowland's theme. Put the exibit in the Disney Gallery in New Orleans square.

HISTA: Replace it with the Time Master which was an idea I posted in the "My own theme park ideas" thread. Plus, make a better exterior where starcade is now, because at HISTA, it looks like Space Mountain is the exibit.

Space Mountain: Keep the rehab goin!

Cosmic Waves: A real waste of space. Relocate the Moon Liner refreshement stand there and keep it open! Plus, have it serve smoothies and other refreshements. Also, have the serving area indoors.

Radio Disney Booth: It really sticks out in Tomorrowland. Move it somwhere else, and put a "Lunching Pad" type snack area there.

Monorail: Redo the track so that it doesn't go around the matterhorn because it seems out of place there, also move the station to the old tomorrowland Sky way station.

Sub Lagoon: Well, I'm not sure if they'll be able the put the subs back, ( curse you Paul Pressler! ) we'll have to wait and see on this one.

Well, I'm done with that! Any comments or suggestions before I go onto DCA?
