Disneyland Express- any thoughts?

My husband and I are ironing out the details of our trip to DL and stuck with how to get there. We're flying to LA solely for Disneyland so the Express bus seems like a good option. Til I read reviews.

We have a will-be 1.5 year old with us so he either needs to be on a bus or in a car seat so SuperShuttle is out. Rental cars we priced out are the easiest with getting a car seat rental too but pricey. I hate the idea of paying that much for a car we will use to get there and back only. The Express is relatively cheap and I read great reviews from the airport to the DLR area but back I've heard a lot of "we missed our flight waiting for them" most said they waited and waited and even leaving plenty of time, got to their airports with little or no time to spare.

Anyone have personal experience with the buses? Do it or just spring for the rental?

I would just rent a car. You don't want to chance it, especially if you're reading about people missing their flights. You don't want that for you and your family. You can get around on your own time if you rent a car.

I have had several clients use it and never heard of a problem. Just have a plan B just in case. You will have a rough idea how long it will take to get from your resort to the airport from your trip in. Subtract that time from the time you need to be at the airport and if there is no bus, grab a cab and then settle out the cost with Disney at a later date.

We don't want to haul a huge car seat with us. It was ok when he was in an infant seat but the toddler ones are massive and it's illegal to have a baby in a car without one. Motor coaches are ok though :(
