Disneyland Engagement Proposal

Looking for a great place to get engaged at Disneyland this summer. Figured since it is the Diamond Anniversary the timing is right.

I know front of castle is always an idea, but is there a better place? (IE- side path of the castle, etc.) Would love to hear your thoughts and ideas.

When I worked at the park, I witnessed multiple marriage proposals at/on Peter Pan's Flight and Snow White's Wishing Well. Both are better choices than the castle, in my opinion, as they aren't as cliché. I think the Mark Twain would make a nice spot, too, especially if it will be making night tours when you go.

Great timing, by the way!

I was in line for Storybook Land Canal Boats once, around the 50th Anniversary. A guy had arranged for his own boat so that he could propose to his girlfriend. The boat left with just those two in it which upset some folks waiting in line, and once the boat went into Monstro the ride supervisor turned to the queue and explained to us all why they got their own boat and we all went "Awww!"

A few minutes later the boat came back to the dock and everyone in the queue applauded and yelled "Congratulations!". Except the hostess driving the boat looked mortified. The guy was literally red-faced, and his girlfriend wouldn't look at anyone and rushed out the exit with the guy trailing behind. The CM hostess then explained to everyone that he popped the question and she said no way and the relationship just isn't working for her.

So maybe don't try and propose on a Storybook Land boat.

I got engaged at the train station. After she said yes we hopped on the train and took our grand circle tour. I thought of it as kind representing the journey we were going to take together in marriage, a metaphor, if you will. Now when we go to the park we sit up there for awhile just watching the people and we look down main street and see the castle in the distance, it represents the success we want to achieve together as we live our lives, just out of reach for now, but the fantasy is there before us, there for the taking. Its a lovely thing. We will revisit the train station and just reflect sweetly every trip for the rest of our lives.
