This great idea came from myself & as well for @Disney Dad 3000 of Seoul Disneyland Project (which by the way Seoul is not in the Middle East). So i decided to make a great Disney Resort in the Middle East.

Shanghai_disneyland_castle.jpg

Since Shanghai Disneyland opens on June 16 2016 it became so popular for Chinese Guests & as well for guests from Around the World with a largest than life 200 ft Enchanted Storybook Castle & fill with amazing rides & attractions for all guests include TRON: Lightcycle Power Run & Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure & soon to the upcoming new land of Zootopia. It makes me wonder if The Walt Disney Company is done of building more Disney Parks in Asia & start to go to a new location for another brand new Magic Kingdom.

The Idea i want to create is something what the bigger Magic Kingdom parks & resorts are like similar to Shanghai Disneyland or Tokyo Disneyland because of the huge central plazas & hubs & as well for their attractions, theming, lands & as well for their Giant Castles. So i would pick either 3 great locations in the Middle East for a Disneyland. The three great places i would put for a Disney Resort in the Middle East are: Saudi Arabia, Egypt & United Arab Emirates.

In the coming months i'm gonna work this out & fit each idea for those three locations so stay tuned for that, also i would like some help some those people like @D Hulk, @Disney Dad 3000, @MickeyWaffleCo., @tcool123, @JokersWild & all other people from WDWMAGIC that could sometimes want to know what's does it need for a Disneyland in the Middle East including Population, Cities, Location, Weather, Tourism, you know what i mean. & don't worry i will also work on this as well if i could had ideas for these resorts in the Middle East

Anyways thanks for listening & hope i could make this project real soon, but for now i had other things working & plans, so much to do & we're just getting starting. Well i be seeing you Real Soon.

So Long for Now

I think UAE would be the best location, specifically in Dubai, since there are a lot of theme parks (obviously non-Disney) there and a Disney resort might be better there. Egypt there wouldn’t be that much space and Saudi Arabia, although a possible location, wouldn’t fit as much as the UAE. You could also come up with a twist on the castle park format (similar layout, different style lands) here.

Yeah that what i say about that, Egypt is nice because of the scenery from the city & Saudi Arabia is starting the future of city & as well of putting a beautiful Six Flags park there but you right the UAE is a better place for a Disneyland. But still i would write all 3 locations in the Middle East maybe starting with the UAE, & then Saudi Arabia & finally Egypt. But thanks for the best location man. Love it

UAE especially either Dubai or Abu Dhabi would fit well for Disneyland. Although if Disneyland goes to Dubai they can’t use Marvel since Motiongate has the theme park rights to Marvel so Abu Dhabi would fit well with Disneyland to include Avengers Campus, and most likely it would be a indoor Disneyland park.

Its not Motiongate that owns Marvel, its IMG Worlds of Adventure that has a Marvel land. But yeah there maybe i would put a marvel land in this park for future expansion & no this park in the UAE would not be indoor, it has to be outdoors in my opinion.

img worlds of adventure, Ferrari World, and Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi are indoor theme parks, and they’re successful especially during the summer season with air conditioners.

@D Hulk and I did a fair amount of research on Dubai and all things theme park there. There's already a lot there, but it's one place you can say money is virtually no object and they don't seem to be slowing down on building new stuff or parks for that matter.
You can see our research here

Don't be afraid to make it an outdoor park. There are a few indoors, but several outdoors as well which is crazy to think in that heat, but they live it. IMG does have the Avengers market cornered as @Twilight_Roxas noted, but there's enough Marvel material you could probably do whatever else you wanted with non-Avengers material I imagine. IP usage there is all over the place.

no Wildland would be Animals
Real animals, like DAK? Or are we doing something more like Critter Country? Critter Country may come off as much more exotic to Egyptian audiences…

Which is to say I’d go with Egypt, most likely, though there are some advantages to the other two (Saudi means it’s easy to strike a deal for the SNK characters to appear, UAE has a large market already), Egypt gives us a closer link into the African market, is also still close to areas like Eastern Europe, and just feels more poetic and exotic. And agreed on the Kamala Khan thing, let’s have her be the sort of mascot for this resort too.

An article about Saudi "gigaprojects" focusing on tourism and leisure. It's interesting and makes me think Saudi Arabia (KSA) isn't out of the question.

I could see the KSA simply funding the entirety of a huge, elaborate, expensive Universal or Disney multi-park, multi-hotel resort (e.g., the biggest castle made of the highest-quality materials, the grandest hotels), including covering all the R&D for cutting-edge attractions (that Disney or Universal can deploy in their other parks), with generous royalty terms for Universal or Disney.

They could have foreign contract workers from the West operating them and living in self-contained on-property residential and retail developments (no Saudi will work the on-the-ground jobs, though they might go for executive park management positions)—just like they operate their oil fields.

Their population is growing rapidly, per capita income is high, leisure time abounds, and as long as hydrocarbons are plentiful, social order can be maintained. Also, every Muslim tries to make the Hajj at least once in their lives, so going to the KSA isn't seen as an unattractive prospect (look how they've made Mecca a whole destination, with luxury hotels, etc.). The entire Muslim world would be open to visiting, and Indonesia's population is enormous and incomes are rising. It wouldn't be about trying to attract Western tourists.

They've opened-up quite a bit in the last several years, and show tolerance for "clean" contemporary popular entertainment (e.g., K-pop concerts featuring both boy and girl groups are welcomed there; the girl groups just have dress a bit more modestly (long pants and long sleeves)).

I think a Universal park is more likely, however, because:
  • Disney employees may vocally object to building a park in conservative KSA and the Western media would probably make a bigger deal of their objections than any objection from Universal employees
    • Western media tend to cover Disney employees' "issues" (e.g., layoffs, wages, LGBT issues, diversity (e.g., costuming, hairstyles, tattoos, representation in the parks)) more than those of Universal's (haven't heard much about goings-on regarding labor or social issues in relation to their parks)
      • This is probably because the idea of "Disney' is more clearly understood by the public than "Universal," and because Disney is constantly engaged in high-profile initiatives regarding diversity and representation, LGBT issues, etc., setting themselves up for heightened scrutiny
  • It seems that Universal (in particular its action/adventure-movie IP for parks, e.g., Jurassic Park, Fast & Furious, Transformers) seems to have (much greater) appeal in the region (as Disney generally has more appeal in East Asia (though Universal is catching-up fast).
    • There may be pretty significant issues with the content of some prominent Disney IP as well.
