Hi Everyone!

I work in a bookstore and have been picking up any DL book I can find in the computer. lol I just got the Disneyland Detective and I am waiting for the DL Mouse Tales to come in. Any thoughts on which books is better? I flipped through the DL Detective book and I wasn't too happy with it. Let me know if I am wasting my money. I also don't want to take too many books with me on the plane. FYI: I am going for the first time in July to celebrate my 21st birthday. :D

Has anyone seen the new DL Passporter book for 2006? I tried ordering them, but they are on backorder at my store.

Thanks!

I thought that Mouse Tales and More Mouse Tales were both good reads. I thought Disneyland Detective was Interesting.

Any one over the other???

Not really, each 1 has its theme. The Detective book is more about secrets and factoids about each ride/attraction. The Mousetales books are about Disneyland as an entity and its operations with lots of personal input and stories from the author.

I would also say that the Mouse Tales books are a bit more, shall we say, realistic. They are not about magic and pixie dust. Death, violence, and other un-Disney like themes run rampant. Before reading them, I worried the books would ruin my vision of Disneyland forever. They didn't - they are totally entertaining, and absolutely engrossing. I am happy to say that I still believe in Disney magic 100%. I also recommend Koenig's Mouse Under Glass. It's about the secrets of Disney animation, but it does discuss the Disney theme parks somewhat.

I found Disneyland Detective to be full of information I already knew. I think you'll find the Koenig books much more entertaining.

Hope this helps. Happy early 21st birthday!
