is there an equivalent disneyland board to complement the forums here? I was wondering if anyone knew when SM at DL would re-open but it seems like this is the wrong place to ask?

That was the original time table, but Matt Ouimet has pushed teams very hard to get the ride open as soon as possible, moving Buzz Lightyear's AstroBlasters timetable up to May 5, 2005 along with Remember...Dreams Come True, and Space Mountain up to July 17, 2005 (Disneyland's 50th birthday). So, assuming there are no major accidents, you can look for these attractions to be open by those dates. All entertainment, of course, begins May 5, 2005

I think you all will be very pleased with the new Space Mountain. The Imagineers behind it are the same ones behind Mission: SPACE's theming

looking forward to the new special effects and just being able to ride it again.

Wow, can you inmagine the crowds for Space Mtn ON the 17th. Fastpasses will be gone within an hour, and only that ling because it takes time to cycle that many people.

Anyone want to guess wait times that day? I will say (if Space opens that day) the stand by will hit 270 minutes.

The former is my favorite. Many at the latter (and some are on both boards) would say it's too cynical. Of course, others might say that a cynic is what an optimist calls a realist.
