My husband and I have a chance to go to LA next month for a short weekend trip. Heading from Ky for our first DL visit. Beyond excited! We would live help deciding what city to stay in to be central to all the LA tourist attractions and DL! I know that's a broad question but we don't know where to start! Any DL tips would be awesome too! Thank you!

Oh my, okay. If you're planning on doing only unique rides, you should be fine!

Must-do rides (unique):

Matterhorn
Indiana Jones
Alice in Wonderland
Pinocchio's Daring Journey
Casey Jr.'s Circus Train
Storybook Land Boat Canals
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin
Sailing Ship Columbia
Tarzan's Treehouse (maybe)

May I suggest you buy park hopper tickets? California Adventure is literally a few seconds away from Disneyland. You MUST experience Cars Land.

As far as LA goes, you're speaking with an expert. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I would suggest you visit The Grove and Farmer's Market. The Grove is a really elegant shopping center and Farmer's Market is a classic and old eaterie spot. Classic Los Angeles, in my opinion. Let me know if you plan on seeing certain things in Hollywood.

Oh, this helps so much! I had definitely wanted the park hopper. Your suggestions are great. I suppose we'll want to see the basic tourist spots e, like Hollywood blvd, Rodeo Dr...but I am open to suggestions. My husband has a one day conference near the airport and I would like to explore on my own that day as well!

Okay! If you'd like to visit Beverly Hills and Holywood on the same day, I would suggest paying for a city tour around LA. You can hit up Beverly Hills, the beach, Hollywood and celebrity homes in one day. There are other stops too, I believe. Were you planning on driving a car through LA?

That is great news! I didn't know how doable it was to see so much! Thank you! One more thing, do we need fast pass for World of Color and if so why?

Anytime! As long as you have a GPS, you'll be fine.

In my opinion, no, you don't need a Fastpass for World of Color. If there's a second showing, see the second one. That's one tip. Another tip I'd give you is to go straight to the front. You don't need a Fastpass to go to the front.

And best city to stay in for a reasonable price?

Between Anaheim and Los Angeles/Hollywood, I'd say prices are cheaper in Anaheim, though I like the Los Angeles/Hollywood hotels better. You can get a cheap hotel across the street from Disneyland. At the same time, I LOVE the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, and the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood is gorgeous. Decisions, decisions HAHAHAHA.

It's a good problem to have! I look forward to seeing it all and reporting back! Thanks!
